The colours of external architecture are crucial to the reception of urbanized space. An appropriate concept is necessary to maintain order and harmony of colours. Decision-making in this respect was analysed, based on Polish and Slovak legal acts. The formal and actual status was compared through analyses of local spatial development plans and site inspections. For a broader perspective, examples from some of the countries are presented. Using a survey, public knowledge of the current legal situation related to colour decision-making was investigated alongside preferences as to who should manage this issue. It was also investigated how space users assessed the external colours of buildings in the areas under study.

Kolorystyka zewnętrznej architektury ma kluczowe znaczenie w odbiorze przestrzeni zurbanizowanej. Dla zachowania ładu oraz harmonii barw niezbędna jest odpowiednia koncepcja. Przeanalizowano kwestię decyzyjności w tym zakresie, opierając się na aktach prawnych polskich i słowackich. Stan formalny z rzeczywistym porównano za pomocą analiz miejscowych planów zagospodarowania przestrzennego oraz wizji lokalnych. Dla szerszej perspektywy przedstawiono przykłady z różnych krajów. Poprzez ankietyzację zweryfikowano wiedzę społeczną dotyczącą obecnej sytuacji prawnej związanej z decyzyjnością kolorystyczną, a także preferencje w kwestii tego, kto powinien tą kwestią zarządzać. Sprawdzono także, jak użytkownicy przestrzeni oceniają zewnętrzne barwy obiektów na badanych obszarach.

Traditional elements are generally influenced as the symbols of cultural context that contains the sign of the past. Costume color study of Bangladesh mainly found through psychological thinking that depends on several factors, such as the use of traditional festival elements from history, costume color aesthetics, costume decoration colors of selected geographical regions To analyze costume color firstly, Zaltman Metaphor Elicitation Technique (ZMET) visual analysis method was performed that gives in-depth thoughts on research viewpoints; secondly, statistical analysis was done from research questionaries’ report, and the result has shown that the traditional colors analyzed from the visual analysis are significant. The findings of this analysis would be beneficial in establishing the concept of clothing color in Bangladeshi culture, also presenting an appreciation of the traditional context for the art design learner.
