Przedstawiona propozycja sposobu określania współczynnika tarcia tocznego wykorzystuje przede wszystkim teoretyczne zależności z zakresu dynamiki. Połączono je z wynikami badań eksperymentalnych. Wyniki takich działań wydają się zachęcające, z tym że wykorzystany model doświadczalny należy traktować jako przykładowy, gdyż powinien on być rozszerzony o dalsze wielkości mające wpływ na opory ruchu w łożysku tocznym.

Resistances to rolling motion are understood as a sum of all phenomena which counteract motion and generate energetic losses. The important quantity describing level of resistance to motion in rolling bearings is coefficient of rolling friction. As opposed to coefficient of sliding friction, rolling friction coefficient depends on operating conditions, the most of all, on the value of load. In this paper the authors present the method of determination of rolling friction coefficient worked out on the base of their experimental researches and on other hand on the base of theoretical analysis of this problem. Synthesis of both components enables to calculate rolling friction coefficient by means of relationship regarding influence of constructional features (material, geometric and dynamic) and operating conditions (axial and radial outer load, inner distribution of the load, rotational speed) on the coefficient value. Presented algorithm, in authors'mind, is the first step to solution of this fragment of wide problem of rolling friction. Limited set of independent variables in presented experimental investigations can be extended and then determinated value of the coefficient should be more precise.
