Budynek dawnego Towarzystwa Kasyno, późniejszego kina „Filmbühne” i „Tęcza” należy do nielicznych przykładów dawnych lokali towarzyskich, jakie zachowały się w Kwidzynie. Do chwili przeprowadzenia badań historyczno-architektonicznych w 2019 zabytek w zasadzie nie był w pełni rozpoznany, zarówno w kwestiach historycznych czy funkcjonalnych, jak i przekształceń budowlanych. Przykładem niewystarczającej analizy źródłowej może być choćby niesprecyzowane datowanie jego budowy. Zatem głównym celem artykułu jest przedstawienie najnowszych wyników badań związanych z jego przekształceniami budowlanymi od momentu powstania w 1875, poprzez kluczowe przemiany użytkowo-architektoniczne z 1935 aż do lat sześćdziesiątych– siedemdziesiątych XX wieku, kiedy uzyskał ostateczną formę. Od kilkunastu lat zabytek jest nieużytkowany, a jego stan zachowania na skutek zaniedbań i błędnych decyzji poprzedniego właściciela jest katastrofalny. Obecnie obiekt został przejęty przez samorząd w celu przywrócenia dawnych funkcji towarzysko-kulturalnych oraz świetności, poprzez przeprowadzenie gruntownych prac restauratorsko-budowlanych.

The building of the former Casino Society, later the “Filmbühne” and Tęcza cinema, is one of a few examples of old social venues that have survived in Kwidzyn. Until historical and architectural research was carried out in 2019, the monument was largely unexplored, neither in terms of historical and functional issues, nor in the view of construction transformations. One example of an insufficient source analysis may be the highly unspecific dating of its construction. Therefore, the main goal of the paper is to present the latest research results related to the construction transformations of the building from when it was built in 1875, through the key functional and architectural transformations in 1935, until the 1960sand 70s, when it obtained its final form. The monument has not been used for many years, and its condition is very poor due to negligence and questionable decisions of its previous owner. Currently, the facility has been taken over by the local government in order to restore its former social and cultural functions as well as its great splendor by carrying out thorough renovation and construction works.

Imagine a cinema with different branches and because of diverse regions, there may be a need to have different services for such regions. Uniformity is needed for systems like this. In this research, we developed a customer-centric online booking system for a cinema house called FLOW Inc. We used Hypertext Mark-Up Language, Cascading Style Sheet and JavaScript for the front end and MySQL database as the back end; and PHP as the scripting language. The system was implemented using the XAMPP package and Apache as the server. It was successfully tested on a computer system with a 4GB RAM and a CORE i5 processor with a processor speed of 2.16GHz.

Z końcem ubiegłego roku zakończyła się realizacja największego dachu wspornikowego i największego „nieba” LED na świecie. Dach ten jest integralną częścią siedziby Międzynarodowego Festiwalu Filmu - Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) w Busan/Pusan, największym mieście portowym Korei Południowej. 23 marca br. na wielkiej gali proklamowano Światowy Rekord Guinnesa za to osiągnięcie, honorując tym także projektantów.

At the end of last year, the execution of the largest cantilever roof in the world was completed. The roof is an integral part of an international center for film festivals Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) in Pusan, the largest port city in South Korea. On 23rd March 2012, during a great gala, the Guinness World Record for this achievement was proclaimed, honoring the designers at the same time. COOP HIMMELB(L)AU’s design for the Busan Cinema Center and home of the Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) provides a new intersection between public space, cultural programs, entertainment, technology and architecture, creating a vibrant landmark within the urban landscape. LED saturated outdoor roof elements acting as a virtual sky connect building-objects and plaza-zones into a continuous, multifunctional public urban space. Media, technology, entertainment and leisure are merged in an open-architecture of changeable and tailored event experiences. The result is a responsive and changing space of flows acting as an urban catalyst for cultural exchange and transformation. The concept envisions an urban plaza of overlapping zones including the Urban Valley, the Red Carpet Zone, the Walk of Fame and the BIFF Canal Park. The urban plaza is formed by building and plaza elements sheltered by two large roofs that are enabled with computer programmed LED outdoor ceiling surfaces. The larger of the roofs includes a column-free cantilever of 85 meters over a multifunctional Memorial Court event plaza. The urban zones defined by functional surfaces in the plan are further articulated in a sectional dialogue between stone-clad “ground” forms of the Cinema Mountain and BIFF Hill, and the metal and LED clad “sky” elements of the roofs. The dynamic LED lighting surface covering the undulating ceilings of the outdoor roof canopies gives the Busan Cinema Center its symbolic and representative iconographic feature.
