To have effective paper production processes on the paper machine the measurement and control systems are necessary. They measure continuously not only various important parameters and technological properties but they also analyze them and help to solve numerous problems. Many machines, including tissue machines, lack such systems or they are poorly equipped in them. This observation applies especially to the tissue machine drying system, where many process parameters may be determined and analyzed only with the measurements made with specialized hand operated equipment.
