Pasażerowie przed rozpoczęciem podróży często stają przed dylematem, który środek transportu wybrać. W procesie decyzyjnym biorą pod uwagę kilka dostępnych opcji i rozważają ich zalety oraz wady. Analizują cechy środków transportu, np. prędkość środka transportu, koszt podróży, jakość przewozu, i w oparciu o swoje preferencje i uprzednie doświadczenia podejmują decyzję. Często jednak proces decyzyjny jest procesem czasochłonnym, wymagającym porównania środków transportu i poszukania niezbędnych informacji. W artykule przedstawiono zagadnienie wyboru środka transportu na trasie Poznań-Kraków metodą AHP. Na początku artykułu krótko scharakteryzowano zastosowaną metodę badań, następnie opisano problem decyzyjny. W dalszej części zdefiniowano dopuszczalne warianty oraz kryteria wyboru. Następnie przeprowadzono ocenę kryteriów poprzez porównanie parami oraz analizę porównawczą wariantów decyzyjnych. Na końcu przedstawiono ranking wariantów decyzyjnych. Artykuł zakończono krótkim podsumowaniem.

Before the journey passengers often face the dilemma of which mode of transport to choose. In the decisionmaking process they take into account several available options and consider their advantages and disadvantages. Therefore, passengers analyze the characteristics of several means of transport, such as: speed, travel costs, the quality of transport, and basing on their preferences and previous experience decide which mode of transport to choose. The decision making process is not infrequently time consuming as it requires a comparison of means of transportation and search of the necessary information. The article presents the problem concerning the choice of transport mode, on the route Poznan-Krakow and its analysis, with the use of the method known as the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). At the beginning of the article the mentioned method of research is briefly described and then the decision problem is characterized. Afterwards, the acceptable variants and selection criteria are enumerated. Subsequently, the criteria are compared in pairs and then the comparative analysis of the decision variants is performed. Finally, the ranking of the decision variants is presented. The article ends with a short summary.
