Annually, every ropeway has to be tested to provide safety for passengers. One of the most significant parts of the inspection is braking test with load. In order to ensure maximal reliability the test is conducted with the maximum load, which may occur during operation. This increases the dynamic impact on ropeway elements. The article provides full methodology of setting the ropeway parameters which results in reduction in number of tests with load.

Każdego roku kolei linowa musi zostać poddana tzw. odbiorowi technicznemu, podczas którego sprawdza się poprawność działania poszczególnych jej elementów. Jednym z najistotniejszych etapów przeprowadzanych testów są próby prawidłowego zadziałania zespołów hamulcowych. Hamowanie odbywa się m.in. przy pełnym obciążeniu, odpowiadającemu ciężarowi maksymalnej liczby pasażerów, (chociaż stan ten bardzo rzadko występuje podczas normalnej eksploatacji). Powoduje to zwiększenie oddziaływania dynamicznego na elementy kolei w stosunku do rzeczywistych oddziaływań podczas normalnej pracy. W artykule przedstawiono pełną metodologię ustawiania parametrów zespołów hamulców kolei linowej, której celem jest zmniejszenie liczby prób hamulcowych z obciążeniem, jak i samego obciążenia.

This article describes the problems related to tourist and skier traffic at the peak of Kasprowy Wierch between three stations (cabin aerial ropeway, and two chairlifts). Such traffic is made hindered by the large difference in the altitudes between the upper station of the chairlift at Gasienicowa hall and the remaining stations. In order to make ease the pedestrian traffic in the proximity of these stations, a solution was searched for to ensure safe tourist traffic and limit its negative influence on the natural environment. Out of many variants, the conception of an underground passage that is to connect three objects was selected. A necessary condition in this case is the proposition of a driving technology of this object with no use of explosive materials.
