The results of the experimental investigation of the plate-fin-and-tube automotive radiator are presented. The tested two-pass radiator consists of two inline rows of tubes with smooth plate fins. The objective was to derive the correlations for the friction factors and the air-side heat transfer coefficient as a function of the Reynolds numbers. The air side heat transfer coefficient was determined from the condition that the calculated and measured coolant outlet temperatures are equal.
