On the basis of model calculation results for existing city catchment area, conducted with the use of EPA SWMM software, the influence of the integration level of partial catchment areas on calculation results was proved. The essential calculation parameter, hydraulic run-off width, tends to increase rapidly with the increase of the catchment area integration level. Considering conducted analyses, it can be recommended that partial catchment areas should be not bigger than 2 ha - in which case hydraulic run-off width can be introductorily defined as 30 - 60 m (for catchment area managed in a similar way to the analyzed one). Proper integration level of the catchment area is a decisive factor for correct designing of precipitation sewage system and essential for the process of calibration of a calculation model.
