Zbadano wpływ sposobu preparatyki niklowego katalizatora szkieletowego na jego aktywność w procesie uwodornienia kwasu maleinowego do kwasu bursztynowego, mierzoną zmianami potencjału elektrody platynowej. Na podstawie danych doświadczalnych wykreślono zależności potencjału elektrody platynowej w funkcji temperatury i czasu wyżarzania katalizatora. Stwierdzono, że wzrost temperatury wyżarzania obniża, a zwiększenie czasu wyżarzania zwiększa aktywność niklowego katalizatora szkieletowego w analizowanym procesie.

Ni-Al (1:1) alloy was prepd. by smelting components at 1453°C. The alloy was annealed at 300–1000°C for 4–12 h, leached with aq. NaOH soln. at 80–100°C for 3.5 days and then tested for catalytic activity in hydrogenation of maleic acid. The Ni catalyst made of an Ni-Al alloy annealed at 500°C for 12 h showed the highest catalytic activity.

The process of hydrogen oxidation in the presence of catalysts proceeds at low temperatures with appropriate intensity. The system intended for hydrogen oxidation was discussed in this study and the cobalt catalysts with a high activity and overheating resistance used in this method, were presented. The system activity is determined not only by the nature of the mass with the catalytic activity but also by a form of a given catalyst. The cobalt systems for hydrogen oxidation were prepared in the powder and granular form and were formed in a monolith catalytic insert form. As the supports of the cobalt catalyst gamma - Al2O3 and the metallic foil were used. The physico - chemical properties of the catalyst were determined using different methods: BET, XRD and ICP. The obtained catalytic systems were tested in the low temperature combustion of hydrogen in air.
