Standaryzacja jest działaniem w wyniku którego otrzymuje się stabilizowanie procesu technologicznego prowadzącego do osiągania optymalnych efektów. W niniejszym artykule tematem standaryzacji jest proces oczyszczania metodą strumieniowo-ścierną z zastosowaniem oczyszczarek wirnikowych. Scharakteryzowano zasadnicze etapy badawczo-diagnostyczne dotyczące zagadnień konstrukcyjnych w mechanizmach oczyszczarek, parametrów eksploatacyjnych oraz zagadnień organizacji prowadzenia procesu. Kryteriami, które przyjęto do oceny oczyszczania są: wydajność oczyszczarki, czas czyszczenia, skuteczność określana stopniem czystości powierzchni odlewów, minimalizacja zużycia ścierniwa oraz stopnień zużycia dynamicznych elementów oczyszczarek.

Standardization is a process which leads to the stabilization of an engineering process allowing it to achieve optimal results. This article is about the standardization of a process in which shot-blasting machines are used to clean castings by means of the jet-and-abrasion method. Characterized are the main aspects of diagnostic research regarding the construction of the shot-blasting machines, their operational parameters, and the organization of the shot-blasting process itself. The criteria adopted in order to evaluate the shot-blasting process are: capacity of the machines, cleaning time, effectiveness measured by the degree of casting surface finish, minimalization of wear of the abrasive material, and the wear of the movable parts of the shot-blasting machines.

W artykule omówiono właściwości śrutu używanego w oczyszczarkach wirnikowych. Przedstawiono charakterystyki ziarnowe śrutu oraz podano zalecenia dotyczące doboru wielkości ziaren. Omówiono metodę oceny trwałości śrutu. Przedstawiono wyniki analizy granulometrycznej śrutu stosowanego do oczyszczania powierzchni odlewów z różnych tworzyw.

In the article shot properties used in wheelabrators have been described. Shot size distribution as well as recommendation of shot grain size choice has been discussed. Evaluation method of shot durability has been also given. Some results of size analysis of shot used for various alloys castings cleaning are presented.

W artykule przedstawiono rolę obróbki strumieniowo-ściernej w celu przygotowania powierzchni odlewów metalowych pod powłoki proszkowe. Stwierdzono, że wzrost szorstkości powierzchni odlewu w najwyższym stopniu poprawia właściwości powłok proszkowych, zwłaszcza dla ścierniw nieżelaznych.

Using pulver paint coatings for castings can bring several advantages. The essential factor for this is the correct preparation of casting’ surfaces for painting in dependance on the as cast state of the surface. The requirements in relation to the cleanness state of casting’ surface under the pulver coatings was discussed and then two methods of preparing of casting’ surface for pulver casting were presented, namely the shot-blasting and chemical method. The conditions for carrying out both kinds of treatments were discussed precisely as well as the progress done in last years in these scopes.
