On the construction market, we are witnessing continuous development and growth in the popularity of timber buildings, especially timber frame houses. Typical fasteners used in this type of buildings are nails, screws, bolts, and of course metal connectors. It is really worth having a closer look at a certain group of connectors which plays a special and very important role in timber frame buildings – hold downs.
