Podstawowym celem analiz przedstawionych w artykule jest określenie ilości emitowanego CO2, która powstała w Polsce i Niemczech w wyniku produkcji sektorów przemysłowych przeznaczonej na handel pomiędzy tymi krajami.

The paper presents the impact of trade in products of industrial sectors between Poland and Germany on the CO2 emission in these countries in 2008. The methodology used in the study is based on input-output approach and calculates emission embodied in bilateral trade (EEBT). The results indicates that the Polish-German trade contributed to the creation of more than 20 Mt of CO2 on both sides of the border. In Poland, the trade resulted in significantly higher emission than in Germany, despite the Germany’s trade surplus in the balance of trade of these countries.
