W artykule przedstawiono wyniki pomiaru opóźnienia hamowania samochodu osobowego podczas manewru awaryjnego hamowania w ruchu prostoliniowym, przy uwzględnieniu różnych zmiennych. Badania przeprowadzono na jezdni asfaltowej o różnym stopniu zawilgocenia (tj. na asfalcie suchym i mokrym), przy zmiennym obciążeniu pojazdu oraz z wykorzystaniem układu ABS i bez niego.

Paper presents the results of measuring the deceleration car during emergency braking maneuver in a linear motion, taking into account the different variables. Testing was per-formed on an asphalt road with different levels of moisture (ie. on the dry and wet asphalt), the variable load of the vehicle, using the ABS system and without it.

The article presents the results of road tests of the passenger car. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of variations in the vehicle braking methods on the carbon dioxide emissions. Inhibited using the gear ratios increase – less gear and using motion resistance while driving a rundown, in addition to using the brake system in the final stages of journeys made. The use of engine braking by drivers as a result of the reduction gear, for example during transport to the intersection, traffic light, railroad crossing, in place of the drive by coasting is particularly emphasized by the promoters of eco-driving. It is raised the issue of avoiding unproductive, from the viewpoint of the work efficiency of the engine, the engine idle speed. The verification of environmental aspects of the use of engine braking was made because of the testing under real traffic conditions. Test drives were carried out at the measuring section, free from traffic. The test vehicle accelerates to a speed of 50 km/h, and then two ways of the speed deceleration were used. The values of the concentration of harmful carbon dioxide in the exhaust gases were achieved by using a mobile apparatus for testing exhaust emissions.

Parametry ruchu pojazdu podczas poruszania się po nawierzchniach pokrytych śniegiem zależą od współpracy opony z nawierzchnią. W warunkach jezdni pokrytej śniegiem, lodem lub błotem pośniegowym zdolność przenoszenia sił stycznych w układzie opona-nawierzchnia podlega dużym fluktuacjom. Osiągany w okresie zimowym na nawierzchni zaśnieżonej współczynnik przyczepności zależy od lokalnych cech śniegu, jego temperatury, stanu warstwy wierzchniej i ubicia. Istotnym czynnikiem jest również grubość warstwy śniegu, jego twardość i gęstość. W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badań doświadczalnych pomiaru twardości i gęstości warstwy śniegu w aspekcie procesu intensywnego hamowania samochodu osobowego.

Motion parameters of the vehicle when moving through the snow-covered surfaces depend on the co-operation tire with the ground. Under the conditions of the road covered with snow, ice or mud carrying capacity tangential forces at the tire-pavement system is subject to large fluctuations. Achieved during the winter on the snowy surface coefficient of friction depends on the local characteristics of the snow, the temperature, the state of the surface layer and compaction. An important factor is also the thickness of the layer of snow, its hardness and density. The article presents the results of experimental measurement of hardness and density of the snow layer in terms of the process of intense braking car.

W artykule omówiona została geneza powstania hamulca tarczowego oraz jego konstrukcja. Wygląd poszczególnych elementów i złożenie hamulca tarczowego zostało przedstawione za pomocą modeli wykonanych w Solid Works. Zaprezentowana została także przykładowa analiza naprężeń statycznych Wszystko to zostało wykonane w zintegrowanym systemie komputerowym powszechnie wykorzystywanym w przemyśle samochodowym.

The article discusses the genesis of the creation of the disc brake and its construction. The appearance of the elements and making the disc brake has been presented by models made in Solid Works. It has been also an example of a static stress analysis of all this was done in an integrated computer system commonly used in the automotive industry.
