W pracy przedstawiono zagadnienia związane z analizą topografii powierzchni wzorców kontrolnych typu C (w odmianach C2 i C3) przeznaczonych do sprawdzania profilometrów stykowych. Wykazano, iż wzorce tego typu mogą być sprawdzane za pomocą aparatury pomiarowej wykorzystującej nowoczesne metody optyczne - koherencyjną interferometrię korelacyjną oraz konfokalną laserową mikroskopię skaningową. Rozpatrzenie możliwości zastosowania różnych metod umożliwia opracowanie procedur kalibracyjnych stosowanych dla urządzeń stykowych.

In modern measurement technique there are used many groups of methods for assessment of geometrical structure of surface (GSS). The most important mechanical methods, which have played the predominant role for many years in this type of measurements, are the stylus methods. They are realized by stylus profilometers characterized by high accuracy and resolution as well as possibility of assessment of surface topography in 2D and 3D. To obtain a high accuracy and repeatability of measurements, the stylus profilometers should be periodically calibrated. The standard procedures include diagnostics of the general conditions of a measuring instrument as well as testing its metrological parameters. In most cases these procedures are realized by calibration specimens (material and programmable). In the paper issues related to measurements and analysis of the surface topography of calibration specimens of type C (variations C2 and C3) for calibrating the stylus profilometers are presented. It is shown that specimens of these types can be assessed by advanced measuring systems using optical methods e.g. CCI (Coherence Correlation Interferometry) and CLSM (Confocal Laser Scanning Microscopy). Consideration of the possibility of using different methods allows working out proper calibration procedures for the stylus instruments.
