W artykule został zaprezentowany pogląd, że wykorzystywanie sformalizowanych standardów do tworzenia planów rozwoju, nawet dla małych i średnich firm, może być efektywnym sposobem na ujęcie wszystkich aspektów poprawnego planu. Model motywacji biznesowej może też być pierwszym krokiem wdrażania standardu wspomagającego rozwój firmy oraz podstawą do stosowania w przyszłości bardziej kompleksowych narzędzi takich jak Siatka Zachmana lub TOGAF. W celu potwierdzenia tego stanowiska przeanalizowano przypadek wykorzystania modelu motywacji biznesowej w tworzeniu planu rozwoju spółki BKF.

The article presents a view that a medium-sized company can successfully implement the methods used to plan the development of large organizations. To confirm the view the case study demonstrating the use of the Business Motivation Model in the creation of development plan of BKF company was presented. Discussed model in enterprise architecture provides a scheme and structure for the organization’s description.

The paper explores and analyses approaches and opinions about best practices and recommendations in business process modelling. In the process modelling literature, also as a part of any business modelling activity methodologies, there are no explicit texts about best practices. Additionally, business process modelling is a part of different (approximately 30) business and enterprise modelling architectures, references and frameworks. The paper addresses the following questions: What is the best way to undertake business process modelling? What procedures and core activities are essential during stages of modelling? What are the most important rules, practices and standards to guide the business process modelling community?

The main trends in developing an approach and tools for business process modelling are discussed. Business Process Management (BPM) and BPM Notation (BPMN) are presented. Moreover, the possibilities of C2 NIWA in a wide range of these tools running on a supercomputer are suggested. Firstly, the company development strategy can be planned. Secondly, quick and flexible changes of its processes can be modelled, analysed and implemented. An example of a business process is also presented.
