Until 30th June 2010, Poland liquidated a total of 180 burial grounds containing about 16.4 thousand Mg of expired pesticides and 97 warehouses containing 0.54 thousand Mg of waste. In the period from 1st January 2011 till 31st December 2013, a total of 28 burial grounds containing about 5.4 thousand Mg of obsolete pesticides were liquidated. Only 4 burial grounds containing about 278.43 Mg wastes remained for liquidation on 31st December 2013. Currently, 3 objects remained for the liquidation. The adopted course of action connected with burial grounds is to increase the involvement of the public administration to remove them in the provinces of Lower Silesia, Opole and Podlasie (finalization of conducted administrative proceedings and enforcement of their provisions).

Content available remote Sorption process for migration reduction of pesticides from graveyards
EN
The paper deals with the study upon the possibility to reduce migration of deposited pesticide wastes by using natural and waste sorption agents that would make a screen against plant protection means penetration into the hydrosphere. Sewage sludge from dairy treatment plant "Mlekovita" in Wysokie Mazowieckie as well as the same sludge with sawdust composted under natural conditions in Rudka Forestry Inspectorate was applied as natural sorption agents. Freundlich's and Langmuir's isotherms revealed that raw (no composting) sewage sludge showed better sorption features towards chloroorganic pesticides.

W pracy zaprezentowano wyniki badań nad możliwością ograniczenia migracji zdeponowanych odpadów pestycydowych poprzez stosowanie substancji sorbujących, które tworzyłyby ekran przenikania środków ochrony roślin do hydrosfery.

The paper deals with the study upon the possibility to reduce migration of deposited pesticide wastes by using natural and waste sorption agents that would mąkę a screen against plant protection means penetration into the hydrosphere. The pesticide sorption was conducted on carbons type CWZ-22 produced by GRYFSKAND, Ltd., Hajnówka. On a basis of literature data and own studies, chloroorganic pesticides that most often occurred near the graveyards at the highest concentrations were selected as representative sorbats. Freundlich's, Langmuir's, BETs and DR's isolines were plotted on a base of achieved results applying Statistica and software in order to analyze the processes.
