According to the applicable regulations, in the case of a decision on the location of an investment consisting in the construction and commissioning of a helicopter landing field, it is necessary to carry out an environmental impact assessment. At the same time, due to the emission of noise related to the expected change of acoustic climate parameters, the indicators required under the applicable law related to building acoustics and also impact of vibration on the structure of buildings should be taken into account. The article discusses particular groups of issues related to the assessment of the impact of helicopter landing field on the environment and the hospital building. On the basis of the presented results of analyzes, a postulate concerning the necessity of introducing a comprehensive assessment methodology, including specific groups of issues, was formulated.

The report refers to the identification of dynamic properties of tall buildings subjected to mining tremors. Taking into consideration the theoretical analysis from [2], the identification of natural frequencies of 2 high buildings (12 story) subjected to strong and very strong mining tremors was carried out for the buildings on flexible ground and with the assumption of non flexible ground. The amplitude Fourier Spectra from measured vibrations of 12th story and the building foundation and the ration of these spectra were analyzed. The ground deformation during the building motion caused by rockbursts decreases natural building frequencies in the insignificant degree.

W artykule zostało przedstawione znaczenie poszczególnych czynników, od których zależy prognoza intensywności drgań wzbudzanych robotami strzałowymi. Zwrócono uwagę na znaczącą różnicę w częstotliwościowej i amplitudowej charakterystyce drgań w obszarze pola falowego bliskiego i dalekiego oraz związane z tym istotne konsekwencje w aspekcie skutków drgań w obiektach budowlanych. W końcowym efekcie oceny wpływu pomierzonych lub prognozowanych drgań na obiekty budowlane bardzo ważną rolę odgrywa wybór odpowiedniej skali oceny. Przedstawiono przegląd kilku podstawowych skal stosowanych w różnych krajach i wskazano na wynikające z ich zastosowania różnice w ocenie skutków.

The article synthesizes some results of scientific research related with dynamic diagnosis carried out in the Institute of Structural Mechanics of the Kracow University of Technology. Questions are put and problems presented that have not been resolved completely and that may become in future the subject of research. Issues related with blasting operations (mainly in quarries) and their impact on the environment are discussed.

Zwrócono uwagę na znaczącą różnicę w częstotliwościowej i amplitudowej charakterystyce drgań w obszarze pola falowego bliskiego i dalekiego oraz związane z tym istotne konsekwencje w aspekcie skutków drgań w obiektach budowlanych. W końcowym efekcie oceny wpływu pomierzonych lub prognozowanych drgań na obiekty budowlane bardzo ważną rolę odgrywa wybór odpowiedniej skali oceny. Przedstawiono przegląd kilku podstawowych skal stosowanych w różnych krajach i wskazano na wynikające z ich zastosowania różnice w ocenie skutków.

The article presents the significance of individual factors on which a forecast of vibrations intensity activated by blasting operations is depended. Special attention is drawn to the significant difference in the frequency and amplitude vibrations characteristic in the area of close and distant wave field as well as related with it consequences in aspect of vibrations impact on building facilities. The review of some basic impact assessment scales of measured and forecasted vibrations on building facilities used in different countries is presented. Differences in the impact assessment resulting from the use of scales are shown.

Decoupled Extended Kalman Filter (DEKF) algorithm was used for the training of Feed-forward Layer Neural Network (FLNN). Data taken from [1] correspond to Displacement Response Spectra (DRS) computed on the base of vibration records measured on the ground level for paraseismic excitation (inputs to FLNN) and on the fourth floor of monitored buildings (outputs of FLNN). It was proved that the application of DEKF gives much more accurate predictions of DRS than standard NN discussed in [1].

The paper deals with an application of the principal component analysis and neural networks to computation of fundamental natural periods of prefabricated medium-height buildings. The analysis is based on long-term tests performed on actual structures. The identification problem is formulated as the relation between structural and soil basement parameters, and the fundamenta! period. Back-propagation neural networks are applied to the analysis.

The paper deals with an application of neural networks for evaluation of soil-structure interaction in case of the transmission of ground vibrations from mining tremors to building basement. The problem of is analyzed with respect to typical prefabricated eleven-storey building with load bearing walls. The comparison of maximal values (amplitudes) of vibrations (accelerations) rccorded at the same time on the ground and on the basement level is the way of evaluation of differences between the ground and the basement vibrations.

Artykuł dotyczy problematyki przyspieszeniowych spektrów odpowiedzi budynku na drgania komunikacyjne. Spektra te opracowano w wyniku analizy przebiegów czasowych drgań budynku wywołanych przejazdami pociągów w tunelu metra. Dane zarejestrowano przy wykorzystaniu systemu ciągłego monitoringu drgań metra w Warszawie.

These spectra were prepared as a result of analysis of building vibration time signals induced by metro train passages. The data collected by using permanent vibration monitoring system in Warszawa.

The tallest building in Poznań (western part of Poland) is the case study. Analysed building is a multifunctional office centre with the heliport on the top, called "The South Gate". Main structure is the RC post and slab with shear walls and core RC elements. After many static analyses the seismic analysis based on serviceability limit state according Eurocode 8 was made. The analysis was carried out by means of the response spectrum method using DAMB program. The allowable design ground acceleration was evaluated.

Prospects of neural network applications in analysis of building vibration problems: Backpropagation neural networks are used to the analysis of two problems related to vibrations of prefabricated buildings subjected to seismic-type excitations. The first problem deals with simulation of vibrations of selected floors of a tall building. The second problem is associated with identification of the fundamental period of natural vibrations of both medium-height and tall buildings. Application of a regularization network and fuzzy networks are also discussed.

Dynamic response of buildings situated close to Warsaw underground metro line were presented on the basis of "in situ" measurements, which were performed on first metro line along Marszałkowska street, downtown Warsaw. Results of investigations are used in diagnoses and plans for further construction works.
