This paper provides a study of the bimaterial consisting of the metal AICu4Mg Alclad sheet and the UD C/epoxy prepreg composite reinforcement. The resulting properties are compared and evaluated with the help of ILSS short beam test. The influences of various technological factors, such as surface preparation, co-cure pressure and the application of the film adhesive KFL 120 and the cold two components adhesive PL 20 are studied, as well the artificial ageing at the hot/wet conditions.

Absolute instability in the compressible boundary layer of the rotating cone

In the present paper the instability character (absolute/convective) of compressible viscous flow around geometries rotating in uniform flow is analyzed. The linear local stability theory is used to investigate the boundary layer stability. Following the works of Briggs and Bers in the field of plasma physics, the absolute instability region is identified by singularities of dispersion relation called pinch - points. Calculations have been made for different Mach numbers and wall temperatures.
