The results of investigation on the velocity of bubble motion under gravitational force in Newtonian and non-Newtonian fluids are presented. Correlation equations are presented which describe the drag coefficient for the case of various rheological models. Equations for the bubble centrifugation time required for the removal of the bubble from a Newtonian fluid were derived. Experiments showed that in a centrifuge the bubble retained a free surface even at much smaller diameters than under gravity forces. A dimensionless bubble diameter was defined and its critical value below which the bubble surface behaved as rigid one was evaluated.
