Social responsibility in the real estate brokerage, which is essentially “people’s business” may be particularly important while facing the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic and coming down with COVID-19, which is largely the result of interpersonal contact. Thus, the sector seems to be an important link in preventing the spread of infections. The objective of the study is to analyze the adjustment of the real estate sector to new challenges in terms of CSR, related to the coronavirus pandemic.

Context-aware computing is a paradigm that relies on the active use of information coming from a variety of sources, ranging from smartphones to sensors. The paradigm usually leads to storing large volumes of data that need to be processed to derive higher-level context information. The paper presents a cloud-based storage layer for managing sensitive context data. To handle the storage and aggregation of context data for context-aware applications, Clouds are perfect candidates. But a Cloud platform for context-aware computing needs to cope with several requirements: high concurrent access (all data needs to be available to potentially a large number of users), mobility support (such platform should actively use the caches on mobile devices whenever possible, but also cope with storage size limitations), real-time access guarantees – local caches should be located closer to the end-user whenever possible, and persistency (for traceability, a history of the context data should remain available). BlobSeer, a framework for Cloud data storage, is a perfect candidate for storing context data for large-scale applications. It offers capabilities such as persistency, concurrency and support for flexible storage schema requirement. On top of BlobSeer, Context Aware Framework is designed as an extension that offers context-aware data management to higherlevel applications, and enables scalable high-throughput under high-concurrency. On a logical level, the most important capabilities offered by Context Aware Framework are transparency, support for mobility, real-time guarantees and support for access based on meta-information. On the physical layer, the most important capability is persistent Cloud storage.

W artykule przestawiono możliwości zastosowania różnych technik wspomagania decyzji w procesach handlowych. Zgodnie z modelem zawierania transakcji ITT (International Trade Transaction) jednym z najważniejszych etapów jest proces podejmowania decyzji o rozpoczęciu negocjacji. Autor proponuje wykorzystanie metod sztucznej inteligencji, takich jak zbiory rozmyte oraz systemy ekspertowe do jego wspomagania. W wyniku syntezy opracowanych mechanizmów wspomagania decyzji uzyskano tzw. moduł pośrednika w systemie transakcyjnym handlu elektronicznego. W pracy zaprezentowano budowę powstałego w wyniku syntezy elektronicznego agenta pośredniczącego oraz przykład realizacji zadania wspomagania decyzji dotyczący doboru partnera handlowego. W pracy położono nacisk na istotne zagadnienie teorii kosztów transakcyjnych, która określa sposób działania elektronicznego agenta pośredniczącego. Wyjaśniono dobór zmiennych decyzyjnych oraz sposób analizy zachowań użytkowników systemu transakcyjnego. Na przykładzie zobrazowano proces wsparcia decyzyjnego dla uczestników na rynku elektronicznym. W pracy zwrócono szczególną uwagę na problemy powszechności handlu nawet w organizacjach o mocno sformalizowanych zasadach obrotu, np. giełdowego. Wskazano możliwości wsparcia decyzyjnego dla różnych narzędzi handlu (m.in. giełdy, aukcje, przetargi) z uwzględnieniem niepełnej informacji wejściowej dotyczącej ceny towaru bądź usługi będącej przedmiotem dalszych negocjacji.

In the article the author presents selected methods of decision support in e-commerce. According to International Trade Transaction model one of the most important step of transaction is decision about beginning negotiation process. The author proposes to use methods of artificial intelligence like fuzzy set theory and expert systems to solve that kind problem. As a result of the synthesis those methods the author achieves an software agent (broker module) in transaction system of e-commerce. In this paper the au-thor puts an accent to theory of transaction cost as a base for functionality of broker module. Paper points in possibility of using broker module for various tools of e-commerce (electronic exchange, e-auctions, e-procurements systems).

Broker ubezpieczeniowy to profesja, na której zna się niewielkie grono specjali-stów. Artykuł przybliża zadania brokera ubezpieczeniowego i wskazuje na istotę broker-stwa. Ponieważ praca brokera ubezpieczeniowego wiąże się ściśle z rynkiem ubezpieczeniowym, w artykule poddano analizie główne składniki tego rynku. Elementem pomocniczym tego rynku jest pośrednictwo ubezpieczeniowe i o nim będzie także mowa w artykule. W kolejnej części opisano regulacje prawne dotyczące działalności brokerskiej. Przedstawiono przedwojenne i powojenne przepisy regulujące sprawy pośrednictwa ubezpieczeniowego w Polsce, a zwłaszcza te, które przywróciły zawód brokera.

Not many specialists are conversant with an insurance broker profession. The purpose of this article is a presentation of an insurance broker profession. I showed here an essence of an insurance brokerage. I also analysed the main elements of an insurance market because an insurance broker profession is inseparably relevant to an insurance market. Then I concentrated my consideration on an insurance brokerage which is an accessory element of this market. Undoubtedly it will simplify an understanding what a work environment of an insurance broker is. Next part contains a description of the legal regulations of a brokerage. There were presented both pre-war and post-war regulations concerning an insurance brokerage in Poland. Particulary I intended to indicate the regulations which reintroduced an insurance broker profession in Poland.

Specificity of the brokerage in Poland is a supplement of the consideration on an insurance broker status presented in a former article. In this passage I undertook to analyse some of the aspects of an insurance broker's business for example: a substance of a practice of a profession, a broker's liability, a broker's contract, a professional ethics.
