In the paper was shown the optimization process of the design of the functional prototype module of a bolt in a small-caliber special object. The module was made as one multibody part in generative manufacturing methods. These technologies allow to produce whole assemblies of parts in one process without additional finishing and subsequent mounting. Restrictions resulting from the grain size of the sintering powder and the diameter of a laser beam requires appropriate dimensional tolerances to keep mobility of the module in the design process. The prototype was made in selective laser sintering technology using metal and plastic powder (SLS, SLM).
