This article resulted from the problematic issue of stainless sheets joining, as observed in one of Polish companies. The joining technology in question is welding and it has proven unsuitable due to severe deformations of the welded material occurring in the consequence of its structure and chemical composition. The problem occurs predominantly in case of small thickness sheets and concerns changing of dimensions. In case of gas metal arc welding of big flat surfaces or constructions where there is either no access to the other side of welded sheets or the access is difficult this method was found to be both cost-ineffective and highly difficult. Due to the numerous drawbacks with welding, an alternative joining method of bonding has been introduced. This article presents stainless steel sheets bonding joints strength analysis. The essential technological factor in gluing, which influences bonding joint strength, is surface treatment. Therefore, various commonly accessible surface treatment methods were applied to the stainless steel sheets surface.

The article presents the results of bonding joints strength of stainless steel sheets after varied surface treatments to bonding. The degreasing, the mechanical treatment and joining both of these methods (as third variant surface treatment) were considered. The obtained results of bonding joints strength were compared with results of tested materials bonding joints strength without surface treatment. The applications of considering surface treatment have profitable influence on bonding joints strength of stainless steel sheets in comparison with the variant without surface treatment. We can notice the largest repeatability of strength value after degreasing (among analysed surface treatment to bonding).

Przedstawiono wyniki badań wpływu warunków wycinania laserowego elementów w blachach ze stali nierdzewnej EN 1.4301 na parametry wyjściowe procesu. Obróbki dokonano metodą impulsową na przecinarce laserowej Trumatic L 4030 z laserem gazowym i sterowaniem numerycznym. Gazem osłonowym był azot. Pokazano możliwości wykorzystania planu Placketta-Burmana do szeregowania wpływu czynników procesu w kolejności ich ważności. Ustalono, że prędkość cięcia, a zaraz po niej ogniskowa mają największy wpływ na jakość powierzchni cięcia.

There was presented influence of conditions of laser cutting process of stainless steels EN 1.4301 sheets on process initial parameters. Cutting process was realized by pulse method using CNC laser cut-off machine Trumatic L 4030 equipped with the gas laser. Nitrogen was applied as a shielding gas. Possibilities of using Plackett-Burman plan to schedule of impact of process parameters in sequence of their importance were presented. There was determined that cutting speed and then focal distance had greatest impact on cutting area quality.
