The research aimed to evaluate suitability of Bitcoin and its platform in emerging markets such as Vietnam. We used qualitative analysis combined with data collection method published, statistics, analysis, synthesis, comparison, to generate qualitative comments and discussion; evaluate results, the article analyzed and evaluated the impacts of Bitcoin and virtual currency on society of Vietnam, both positive and negative sides. It was found that virtual currency not accepted in Vietnam as means of payment yet, while many nations in the world accept it. We need to complete the legal framework for virtual currencies in general, Bitcoin in particular. The State should continue to have policies to improve information technology infrastructure, build and improve the capacity of the contingent of financial experts, encryption, and security experts and give warning risks in virtual currency transactions. The scientific value of paper is using experiences from previous studies in other countries to generate recommendations for conditions of Bitcoin development in merging markets. Last but not least, the research was limited to the case of Vietnam; hence, we can expand research to other Asian countries or other emerging markets.

Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie metod umożliwiających deanonimizację użytkowników kryptowalut na przykładzie najpopularniejszej z nich - bitcoina. Na wstępie przedstawiono podstawowe pojęcia oraz zasadę działania tej kryptowaluty, po czym dokonano autorskiej systematyzacji typów transakcji wzbogaconej o wykresy ukazujące ich ilościowe występowanie w łańcuchu bloków. W głównej części pracy przedstawiono heurystyki wykorzystywane przy deanonimizacji użytkowników. Następnie skupiono się na praktycznych wskazówkach ułatwiających implementację omówionych heurystyk w rzeczywistym systemie deanonimizacyjnym. Pokazane zostały także rzeczywiste scenariusze wykorzystania heurystyk wzbogacone o komentarze będące wynikiem doświadczeń płynących z przeprowadzonych przez autorów ekspertyz. W ostatniej części wskazano uwarunkowania prawne oraz istniejące narzędzia wspomagające przeprowadzanie czynności deanonimizacyjnych.

The aim of this article is to show how one can deanonymize users of cryptocurrencies. To this end the most popular of the cryptocurrencies, i.e. bitcoin is used as an example. At the beginning, the basic concepts about cryptocurrencies are presented. Afterwards, our approach to systematize the types of transactions existing in the blockchain is proposed. This part is enriched with the graphs showing their quantitative occurrence in the blockchain. The main part of this article presents the heuristics use to deanonymize users. A few practical pieces of advice for implementation of the presented heuristics in the real deanonymizing system are included. Then the real case studies are introduced. They are supported with comments based on the experience from court trials carried out by the authors. The final part contains legal regulations and existing tools supporting the deanonymizing process.

Obecnie za jedną z najbardziej przełomowych technologii uważa się blockchain. W niniejszej pracy krótko zdefiniowano pojęcie technologii blockchain oraz scharakteryzowano zasady jej funkcjonowania. Zasadniczą część stanowi przedstawienie przykładu zastosowania powyższej technologii w zarządzaniu łańcuchami dostaw. Zaprezentowano proces realizacji transakcji finansowych w branży motoryzacyjnej oraz śledzenia produktów w łańcuchu dostaw branży spożywczej. Opisano przyczyny podjęcia decyzji o wdrożeniu technologii blockchain oraz płynące z niej korzyści.

A position of the companies belonging to contemporary logistics market is dependent on their openness regarding innovations as well as preparedness to investments in new technologies. Presently blockchain is considered to be one of the most disruptive technologies. The paper presents shortly blockchain technology definition and its rules of functioning. The essential part is constituted by presenting exemplary applications of described above technology in supply chain management. The processing of financial transactions in the automotive industry and tracing products in supply chain of the food industry were presented. The reasons and spoils of making decision to deploy the blockchain technology were described.

W artykule przedstawiono zastosowanie metody Warda do identyfikacji wzorców w finansowych szeregach czasowych, na przykładzie kursu waluty kryptograficznej bitcoin. Wykorzystując zidentyfikowane wzorce, generowano prognozy zmian kursu w analizowanym szeregu dla danych zbioru testowego, które nie zostały wykorzystane w procesie identyfikacji wzorców. Przeciętny absolutny oraz maksymalny błąd prognozy na danych zbioru testowego był niewielki, natomiast zgodność kierunku zmian kursu BTC/PLN na zbiorze testowym wynosiła tylko 60%.

The aim of this article was to present the use of Ward’s method to identify patterns in BTC/PLN exchange rate. Identified patterns were used to predict BTC/PLN movement direction. Mean absolute percentage error and maximal percentage error on the test set were small, but the movement direction was correctly predicted only in 60% of cases.

W artykule postarano się ustalić czy obecnie na świecie istnieje tendencja do ujednolicania stanowiska w kontekście legalności, bezpieczeństwa oraz opodatkowania transakcji z wykorzystaniem protokołu Bitcoin. Przeanalizowano stan prawny na rok 2015 odnoszący się do ów zagadnienia oraz ukazano ewolucję jego zmian w perspektywie ostatnich lat, na obszarach takich jak: Ameryka Północna, Australia, Azja oraz Europa.

The goal of the work is to demonstrate the differences in the perception of the legality of transactions with the use of virtual currency Bitcoin and the analysis of a number of ideas aimed at regulating the issue of tax on goods and services offered around these transactions. In this article one may find the answer to the question whether in the contemporary world there is a tendency to harmonize positions in the context of the legality, safety and taxation transactions using Bitcoin protocol? In the article there has been analyzed the legal status of 2015 relating to this issue and shown the evolution of changes in recent years, in areas such as: North America, Australia, Asia and Europe.

Rewolucja informacyjna i informatyczna, a także wydarzenia i kampanie medialne związane z problemem ochrony prywatności w Internecie, determinują rzeczywistość społeczno-gospodarczą współczesnego świata. Odpowiedzią na potrzebę zachowania anonimowości jednostki jest sieć TOR. Zasady funkcjonowania oraz możliwości sieci TOR, które udostępnia swoim użytkownikom, doprowadziły jednak do rozwoju zjawiska cyberprzestępczości w nowym wymiarze. Przedmiotem artykułu są zasady działania TOR oraz zjawiska patologiczne w tej sieci. Jej silna integracja z anonimową walutą Bitcoin może w przyszłości przyczynić się do powstania nowych zagrożeń o charakterze globalnym.

The ongoing revolution of informatics and information processes influences the economic and social realities of the modern world, as well as the extensive media campaigns, and other events relating to the problem of privacy safeguarding within the Internet. influences the economic and social realities of the modern world. The TOR network became one of the fastest responding to the individual needs for privacy protection. Unfortunately, the TOR network principles of operation, and the possibilities it provides to its users, led to the development of new dimension of cybercrime possibilities. In the article, authors describe the principles of TOR, and the development of pathological phenomena within this network. In their analysis, they advise that the TOR network’s strong integration with the anonymous currency Bitcoin can contribute to the emergence of new global threats.
