The article presents the concept and prototype of a sensor network for biopotential measurements for long-term and remote tracking of vital signs of patients or athletes. Portable monitoring solutions consist of two basic elements: sensors and a data collection device. In this work, we propose a new type of dry textile electrodes to detect physiological signals that can be an alternative to gelled electrodes. Preliminary ECG measurement results show that after further improvements they can be good candidates for use in intelligent clothing for real applications.

Artykuł przedstawia koncepcję i prototyp sieci czujników do pomiarów biopotencjałów do długoterminowego i zdalnego śledzenie parametrów życiowych pacjentów lub sportowców. Przenośne rozwiązania monitorujące składają się z dwóch podstawowych elementów: czujników i urządzenia do gromadzenia danych. W tej pracy proponujemy nowy rodzaj suchych elektrod tekstylnych do wykrywania sygnałów fizjologicznych, które mogą stanowić alternatywę dla elektrod żelowanych. Wstępne wyniki pomiarów EKG pokazują, że po dalszych ulepszeniach mogą być dobrymi kandydatami do zastosowania w inteligentnej odzieży do rzeczywistych zastosowań.

In recent year, there has been growing interest in the possible use of electromagnetic observations to study earthquakes and possible precursors prior to seismic activity, in response to the success in United States, Japan, Russia, China, and other countries using seismo-electromagnetic methods. We have established a new experimental setup (i.e., biopotential sensor) in Farah region (geographic coordinates: 27.17°N, 77.47°E), Mathura, India. The setup has started operating and analyzed the data since November 2011. The data have been tested by various methods and a good correlation with seismic events was found; thus, a real-time analysis from 21:00 p.m. through 8:00 a.m. every day was initiated. First, we recorded the amplitude enhancement in bio-potential and found positive correlation with seismic activities (near Delhi and Rajasthan) and analyzed the data with solar flares and magnetic storms during the same period, finding a negative correlation of these events. The studies of these events are in progress with statistical analysis of the data. We chose the observing site in Farah region because this region is well known for being a site of a conductive channel of seismic activity.

Artykuł przedstawia układ do monitorowania aktywności elektrycznej serca z użyciem bezkontaktowej metody pojemnościowej. Czujnikami potencjałów na powierzchni skóry są sensory pojemnościowe, specjalnie do tego celu zaprojektowane. Pomiar wykonywany jest poprzez ubranie badanej osoby w pozycji siedzącej. Sensory umieszczone są na oparciu krzesła. Dla zmniejszenia wpływu zakłóceń zastosowano aktywną elektrodę odniesienia również ze sprzężeniem pojemnościowym, na której badana osoba siedzi.

The paper presents a system for heart activity monitoring without a direct conductive skin contact. The system utilizes capacitively coupled sensors specially designed for measurements of electric potentials on a human body. In addition, to reduce common mode effects, there is employed a capacitive "driven seat ground" active electrode, similar to the "driven right leg" feedback. Section 1 contains a short description of the non-contact measurement techniques which do not require use of conductive gels and direct electric contact with skin, which may result in skin irritation. Section 2 deals with the measurement system. Amplifiers and filters are briefly discussed. A capacitive sensor is presented in detail. Examples of measurements through clothes are given in Section 3. The results for various areas of the reference electrode and during body movement are also included.

The results of research on the impact parameters of treatment of potato tubers in a magnetic field to change their biopotential and yield are presented. The optimum regimes of treatment were determined.
