Procesy zachodzące w świecie przyrody od dawna skupiają uwagę i fascynują badaczy z zakresu m.in. nauk inżynieryjno-technicznych. W projektowaniu architektonicznym czerpanie inspiracji z natury uzyskało nazwę procesu architektonicznego i bionicznego. Rozwój bioniki architektoniczno-budowlanej następuje w dwóch kierunkach, tj. badania praw i zasad panujących w świecie przyrody oraz wykorzystania wniosków z tych badań w projektowaniu. Bionika stała się jednym z trendów architektonicznych w światowej praktyce projektowej w okresie ostatnich czterdziestu lat, a także stała się nowoczesnym stylem architektonicznym, którego celem jest wdrażanie innowacyjnych zasad kształtowania formy architektonicznej, konstrukcji i technologii wykonania obiektów budowlanych inspirowanych wzorcami z natury.

There are the processes that are taking place in the world of nature. It has continually fascinated researchers in the fields of engineering and technical science for a long time. In architectural design, taking an inspiration from nature for drawing has been called an architectural and bionic process. The development of bionics architecture and construction takes place in two directions, i.e. the study of the law and principles prevailing in the world of nature and the use of conclusions from these studies in design. Bionic has become one of the architectural trends in the world design practice over the last forty years and also has become a modern architectural style, the purpose of which is to implement innovative principles of shaping the architectural form, structure and technology of building objects inspired by patterns of nature.

The usage of forming principles of wild life got the new quality and received a name of architectural and bionic process and became one of the trends of architecture in the world architectural practice for the last 40 years. Bionics is an innovative architectural style that took all the best from nature: relief outlines and forms. It can be called architecture of future and its aim is synthesis of nature and modern technologies.
