W artykule przedstawiono: istotę transportu bimodalnego, stosowane środki techniczne, technologie zestawiania pociągu bimodalnego oraz systemy transportu bimodalnego. Podsumowanie artykułu stanowi analiza zalet i wad przewozów drogowo-szynowych ładunków w technologii bimodalnej.

The following was presented in this article: a substance of bimodal transport, used technical means, technologies for putting together a bimodal train and systems of the bimodal transport. The recapitulation of this article composes an analysis of advantages and disadvantages for road-railways transportation of loads in the bimodal technology.

The paper describes the application of railway brake pneumatic system simulation method (developed by the author) to the solution of issues related to developmental bimodal train designed in Poland. A specitic arrangement of the pneumatic brake, analysed in a few variants, was used in the train. Some detailed comparative analyses were carried out using the simulation method. The paper also presents development of the bimodal train brake system structure and methodology of simulation analyses.

Artykuł dotyczy zastosowania opracowanej przez autora metody symulacji układu pneumatycznego hamulca kolejowego do rozwiązania problemów rozwojowego pociągu bimodalnego opracowanego w Polsce. W pociągu zastosowano specyficzny układ hamulca pneumatycznego analizowany w kilku wariantach. Dokonano dla nich szczegółowych analiz porównawczych, które zrealizowano opracowaną metodą symulacyjną. W artykule przedstawiono zarówno rozwój konstrukcji układu hamulcowego pociągu bimodalnego, jak i metodykę analiz symulacyjnych.
