The scope of cognition of military logistics encompasses a wide variety of problems, among which priority is given to issues relating to the management and achieved quality of logistics processes. Over the past several decades, this issue has received a lot of attention, and the result of ongoing, interdisciplinary research is a significant body of international and domestic publications. Their careful analysis makes it possible to identify the key research fields of military logistics, which are the main subject of cognition within the framework of ongoing scientific research. Moreover, that the scope of the publications issued, and the scientific problems addressed in them, were in the past, and still invariably remain in close correlation to the socio-military-economic situation. The aim of the article is identification and assessment of the scope of contemporary cognition of military logistics in the area of management and quality sciences and bibliometric analysis of the phenomenon in question. The research problem taken up for solution was specified in the following form: what priority directions of scientific research dominate the development of military logistics in the area of management and quality sciences? A number of theoretical methods were used in the material, among which the leading ones were analysis and synthesis, abstraction and inference. The article identifies connections, similarities and differences between the studied constructs, and formulates conclusions for further research using advanced methods of bibliometric analysis, i.e. the method of research profiling and methods that analyse the connections between publications.

Zakres poznania logistyki wojskowej obejmuje szereg różnorodnych problemów, wśród których priorytetową rolę odgrywają kwestie odnoszące się do zarządzania i osiąganej jakości procesów logistycznych. Na przestrzeni ostatnich kilkudziesięciu lat, problematyce tej poświęcono wiele uwagi, a wynikiem prowadzonych, interdyscyplinarnych badań naukowych jest znaczący zbiór międzynarodowych oraz krajowych publikacji. Ich uważna analiza pozwala zidentyfikować kluczowe pola badawcze logistyki wojskowej, które stanowią główny przedmiot poznania w ramach prowadzonych badań naukowych. Warto ponadto podkreślić, że zakres wydawanych publikacji, i podejmowanych w nich problemów naukowych był w przeszłości i wciąż niezmiennie pozostaje w ścisłej korelacji do sytuacji społeczno-militarno-gospodarczej, która miała miejsce w okresie bezpośrednio poprzedzającym ich opublikowanie. Celem artykułu jest identyfikacja i ocena zakresu współczesnego poznania logistyki wojskowej w obszarze nauk o zarządzaniu i jakości oraz analiza bibliometryczna przedmiotowego zjawiska. Podjęty do rozwiązania problem badawczy został sprecyzowany w następującej postaci: jakie priorytetowe kierunki badań naukowych dominują w rozwoju logistyki wojskowej w obszarze nauk o zarządzaniu i jakości? W materiale wykorzystano szereg metod teoretycznych, wśród których wiodące były: analiza i synteza, abstrahowanie oraz wnioskowanie. Na podstawie przeprowadzonych analiz w artykule wskazano powiązania, podobieństwa i różnice pomiędzy badanymi konstruktami oraz sformułowano wnioski do dalszych badań z wykorzystaniem zaawansowanych metod analizy bibliometrycznej, tj. metody profilowania badawczego oraz metod analizujących powiązania pomiędzy publikacjami.

Inventory control is one of the key areas of research in logistics. Using the SCOPUS database, we have processed 9,829 articles on inventory control using triangulation of statistical methods and machine learning. We have proven the usefulness of the proposed statistical method and Graph Attention Network (GAT) architecture for determining trend-setting keywords in inventory control research. We have demonstrated the changes in the research conducted between 1950 and 2021 by presenting the evolution of keywords in articles. A novelty of our research is the applied approach to bibliometric analysis using unsupervised deep learning. It allows to identify the keywords that determined the high citation rate of the article. The theoretical framework for the intellectual structure of research proposed in the studies on inventory control is general and can be applied to any area of knowledge.

Emerging disruptive events in recent years have highlighted the importance of building organizational resilience, particularly in the context of the accepted logic of value creation. Bringing these issues, i.e. resilience and business models being a specific tool for creating, delivering and capturing value, an area of research that has been gaining importance in recent years is presented. Nevertheless, studies presenting the results of bibliometric analyses combining these two terms are still rare. The main aim of this article is to present the results of a bibliometric analysis allowing for the mapping of cognitive structures in resilience and business models (R&BM) and to discuss current research directions in this area. The study used data from the Scopus database from 2009 to 2023. Research trends and keyword co-occurrence analysis were included in the bibliometric analysis, and VOSviewer software was used to visualize the data.

Pojawiające się w ostatnich latach distruptive events podkreśliły znaczenie budowania odporności organizacji, szczególnie w kontekście przyjętej logiki tworzenia wartości. Łącząc te zagadnienia, tj. odporności i modeli biznesu, będących szczególnym narzędziem tworzenia, dostarczenia i przechwytywania wartości, zaprezentowano obszar badań, który w ostatnich latach nabiera wagi. Niemniej jednak, badania prezentujące wyniki analiz bibliometrycznych łączących te dwa terminy są nadal rzadkie. Głównym celem artykułu jest przedstawienie wyników analizy bibliometrycznej pozwalającej na zmapowanie struktur poznawczych w zakresie odporności i modeli biznesu (R&BM) oraz omówienie bieżących kierunków badań w tym zakresie. W badaniu wykorzystano dane z bazy Scopus z lat 2009 - 2023. W analizie bibliometrycznej uwzględniono trendy badawcze oraz analizę keywords co-occurrence, do wizualizacji danych zaś użyto oprogramowania VOSviewer.

Based on the Essential Science Indicators database, this study analyzed 1,777 top papers in the Ecology subject category of Web of Science, for eleven years from 2011 to 2021, which included 1,770 highly cited papers and 15 hot papers in the field and belonged to 33 categories and 29 research areas. All top papers written in English came from 12,677 authors, 3,246 organizations and 123 countries or territories, and were published in 104 journals and 5 book series in the field. The top five journals publishing the highest number of top papers are Proceedings of the Royal Society B Biological Sciences (9.96% of papers), Global Change Biology (7.88%), ISME Journal (7.71%), Landscape and Urban Planning (7.54%) and Trends in Ecology and Evolution (5.01%), each published more than 89 papers. Top five countries were USA, England, Australia, Germany and Canada. Furthermore, top six organizations publishing the highest number of top papers are University of California, Berkeley, University of Oxford, Chinese Academy of Sciences, University of Queensland, University of British Columbia, and University of California, Davis (more than 62 papers each). VOSviewer software supported the bibliometric analysis. Co-occurrence analysis of top papers' keywords identified eight clusters that correspond to eight major research topics representing different viewpoints on Ecology. Those main topics are: ecosystem services and conservation management, climate-change impacts, evolution and selection, biodiversity, diversity and abundance, ecology patterns and community structure, ecology prediction, impacts of biological invasions. The subject of ecosystem services and conservation management is a front or recent interest topics in Ecology.

The availability of digital infrastructures and the fast-paced development of accompanying revolutionary technologies have triggered an unprecedented reliance on Artificial intelligence (AI) techniques both in theory and practice. Within the AI domain, Machine Learning (ML) techniques stand out as essential facilitator largely enabling machines to possess human-like cognitive and decision making capabilities. This paper provides a focused review of the literature addressing applications of emerging ML toolsto solve various Project Scheduling Problems (PSPs). In particular, it employs bibliometric and network analysis tools along with a systematic literature review to analyze a pool of 104 papers published between 1985 and August 2021. The conducted analysis unveiled the top contributing authors, the most influential papers as well as the existing research tendencies and thematic research topics within this field of study. A noticeable growth in the number of relevant studies is seen recently with a steady increase as of the year 2018. Most of the studies adopted Artificial Neural Networks, Bayesian Network and Reinforcement Learning techniques to tackle PSPs under a stochastic environment, where these techniques are frequently hybridized with classical metaheuristics. The majority of works (57%) addressed basic Resource Constrained PSPs and only 15% are devoted to the project portfolio management problem. Furthermore, this study clearly indicates that the application of AI techniques to efficiently handle PSPs is still in its infancy stage bringing out the need for further research in this area. This work also identifies current research gaps and highlights a multitude of promising avenues for future research.

Agile Project Management is a topic that has become popular both in business and academia, since the publication of the Agile Manifesto - a historic landmark in this subject. In the next 20 years, there was a relevant scientific production that must be analyzed to provoke reflection about the knowledge built up in this period. In this sense, this study aims to analyze the relevant scientific literature on Agile Project Management through a systematic review and a bibliometric analysis of articles published in scientific journals with Digital Object Identifier, in English, from the Web of Science and Scopus databases, from 2001 to 2021. The research results enable us to gain insights into the characteristics of this knowledge domain, regarding its volume and evolutionary trend, main contributors (i.e. scientific journals, authors, and their affiliations), main studies, methods used, and its central thematic axes.

Background: In the face of numerous sustainability challenges within global logistics operations, smart logistics, or Logistics 4.0, has emerged as a rapidly evolving field over the past decade. Situated within the broader context of Industry 4.0, Logistics 4.0 serves as a critical pillar for ensuring business sustainability by leveraging innovative and disruptive technological solutions. This study offers a novel and comprehensive analysis of the role of Logistics 4.0 in fostering business sustainability, with a particular focus on the agro-industrial sector. Methods: Employing a bibliometric and content analysis approach, this research examines 56 publications from 2015 to 2021, sourced from Scopus, ScienceDirect, and Springer databases. The bibliometric research method incorporates joint keyword analysis using VOSviewer and is complemented by a content analysis of the selected articles. The bibliometric analysis uncovers a growing yet still nascent publication trend in this field. Results: The study reveals that Logistics 4.0 plays a significant role in enhancing the sustainability of firms across various sectors, particularly within the agro-industrial sector. By harnessing digital technologies and innovative business models, Logistics 4.0 paves the way for creating competitive advantages for agro-industrial firms. Conclusion: This research emphasizes the pivotal role of Logistics 4.0 in promoting sustainable and competitive growth in agribusiness, offering valuable insights for both academia and industry practitioners.

W artykule dokonano analizy ilościowo-jakościowej artykułów naukowych dotyczących kruszyw mineralnych w kraju i na świecie. W tym celu została wykonana analiza bibliometryczna publikacji naukowych dotyczących kruszyw mineralnych, zamieszczonych w bazie Web of Science (www.webofscience.com) (WoS). Dokonano kwerendy bazy WoS, a kryterium wyszukiwania była fraza „kruszywa mineralne” ( mineral AND aggregates ). W wyniku otrzymano 18 231 rekordów/publikacji (stan na 30.06.2023 r.).

This article presents a quantitative and qualitative analysis of scientific articles related to mineral aggregates in Poland and worldwide. To achieve this, a bibliometric analysis of scientific publications on mineral aggregates was con ducted using the Web of Science (www.webofscience.com) (WoS) database. A search query was performed in the WoS database using the phrase ‘mineral aggregates’. The search yielded 18,231 records/publications (as of June 30, 2023).

Content available remote Polish Contribution to Software Engineering Research 1992-2021

Since the collapse of the Soviet Bloc, Polish researchers in the software engineering area made a large effort to close the gap developed during the times of the Iron Curtain and the ensuing limited access to Western technology. The question arises as to whether they eventually managed to attain - or maybe even to surpass the scientific output in this area of the developed Western countries. In this paper, we perform analysis on papers published in 16 high-quality software engineering journals within the last 30 years to measure the Polish contribution to the global scientific output in the area of software engineering. We observe how the Polish contribution changed in quantity in relation to the global scientific output in subsequent years. We also identify the journals that attracted the Polish authors the most, the institutions located in Poland that contributed the most, as well as the most productive Polish authors and the most acknowledged works (in terms of citation number) written by Polish authors. Moreover, we investigate the topics most often chosen by them.

This study used bibliometric analysis to investigate global research trends regarding the effect of COVID-19 risks in sustainable facility management fields. Between 2019 and 2021, the Scopus database published 208 studies regarding the effect of COVID-19 risks on sustainable facility control fields. VOSviewer software was used to analyse the co-occurrence of all keywords, and Biblioshiny software allowed getting the most relevant affiliation using the three-field plot. The results show the contribution by authors from 51 countries, and 73 keywords were identified and organised into six clusters, such as the effect of COVID-19 risks on human health, supply chain in construction projects and industry, disaster risk management in a changing climate, sustainable supply chain benchmarking, facility management and quality control, and, finally, sensitivity analysis & decision-making.

The influence of artificial intelligence (AI) in smart cities has resulted in enhanced efficiency, accessibility, and improved quality of life. However, this integration has brought forth new challenges, particularly concerning data security and privacy due to the widespread use of Internet of Things (IoT) technologies. The article aims to provide a classification of scientific research relating to artificial intelligence in smart city issues and to identify emerging directions of future research. A systematic literature review based on bibliometric analysis of Scopus and Web of Science databases was conducted for the study. Research query included TITLE-ABS-KEY (“smart city” AND “artificial intelligence”) in the case of Scopus and TS = (“smart city” AND “artificial intelligence”) in the case of the Web of Sciences database. For the purpose of the analysis, 3101 publication records were qualified. Based on bibliometric analysis, seven research areas were identified: safety, living, energy, mobility, health, pollution, and industry. Urban mobility has seen significant innovations through AI applications, such as autonomous vehicles (AVs), electric vehicles (EVs), and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), yet security concerns persist, necessitating further research in this area. AI’s impact extends to energy management and sustainability practices, demanding standardised regulations to guide future research in renewable energy adoption and developing integrated local energy systems. Additionally, AI’s applications in health, environmental management, and the industrial sector require further investigation to address data handling, privacy, security, and societal implications, ensuring responsible and sustainable digitisation in smart cities.

The article provides a classification of scientific research relating to the issue of sustaina-ble and intelligent mobility, in order to identify emerging future research directions. A systematic literature review was based on bibliometric analysis and focused on articles in Scopus and Web of Science databases. The purpose of this article was to identify areas of research analysed in international literature in the area of sustainable and smart mobility. The systematic literature review aimed to identify, integrate and evaluate research on the selected topic based on clearly defined criteria. The analysis covered publications on sustainable and smart mobility published in Scopus and Web of Science databases from 2010 to 2022. Based on the bibliometric analysis, a bibliometric map was developed using mapping technique VOS – the visualisation of similarities. Clusters were created using the VOSviewer software.

W artykule przedstawiono klasyfikację badań naukowych odnoszących się do zagadnienia zrównoważonej i inteligentnej mobilności w celu określenia wyłaniających się przyszłych kierunków badań. Systematyczny przegląd literatury oparty był na analizie bibliometrycznej i skupiał się na analizie artykułów zawartych w bazach Scopus i Web of Science. Celem niniejszego artykułu była identyfikacja obszarów badań analizowanych w międzynarodowej literaturze w obszarze zrównoważonej i inteligentnej mobilności. Analiza objęła publikacje na temat zrównoważonej i inteligentnej mobilności opublikowane w bazach danych Scopus i Web of Science w latach 2010-2022. Na podstawie analizy bibliometrycznej opracowano mapę bibliometryczną przy użyciu techniki mapowania VOS – wizualizacji podobieństw. Klastry zostały utworzone przy użyciu oprogramowania VOSviewer.

The study objective is to analyse scientific literature relating to the labour market in sustainability transitions and identify emerging research directions and implemented research methods. A bibliometric analysis method was used to review the literature from the SCOPUS database. Moreover, an in-depth review of selected publications that fall into the field of social sciences was made. In literature, it is recognised that there is a scarcity of research linking the labour market and sustainability. However, in the analysed period of 1997-2023, a gradual growth was noticed in the number of publications. Four thematic clusters were identified in relation to green growth, twin transition, green employment and sustainable European labour market policy issues. The majority of authors based their study results on a critical analysis of literature, case study and database analysis. Even though qualitative research is popular among researchers studying the labour market in sustainability transitions, foresight methodology has not been used so far. The topics researched to an insufficient extent include, among others, career ecosystem, precarious employment, digital transformation, just transition, artificial intelligence or the future of work.

Celem badania jest analiza literatury dotyczącej rynku pracy w zrównoważonej transformacji oraz identyfikacja pojawiających się kierunków badań i stosowanych metod badawczych. Do przeglądu literatury wykorzystano metodę analizy bibliometrycznej publikacji z bazy SCOPUS. Ponadto, dokonano pogłębionego przeglądu wybranych publikacji, które wpisują się w dziedzinę nauk społecznych. W przeanalizowanych zasobach literatury występuje niewiele badań łączących rynek pracy ze zrównoważoną transformacją. Jednakże w analizowanym okresie 1997-2023 można było zauważyć stopniowy wzrost liczby publikacji o tej tematyce. Zidentyfikowano cztery obszary badawcze, które odnoszą się do zielonego wzrostu gospodarczego, transformacji bliźniaczej, zielonego zatrudnienia i zagadnień zrównoważonej europejskiej polityki rynku pracy. Większość autorów swoje wyniki oparła na krytycznej analizie literatury, studium przypadku i analizie baz danych. Mimo, że badania jakościowe cieszą się dużą popularnością wśród badaczy zajmujących się tematyką rynku pracy w zrównoważonej transformacji, metodyka foresight niebyła dotychczas stosowana. Obszary badawcze, które były eksplorowane w niewystarczającym stopniu, obejmują m.in. ekosystem kariery, niepewne zatrudnienie, transformację cyfrową, sprawiedliwą transformację, sztuczną inteligencję czy przyszłość pracy.

Purpose: Organizational ambidexterity is a promising concept in management science. It is defined as the ability of a company to leverage existing resources by increasing the productivity of current products and services while exploring development niches. The aim of the article is to identify the leading research areas within organizational ambidexterity based on bibliometric analysis carried out on a collection of scientific articles and conference papers indexed in the Scopus database. Findings: Data visualisation was prepared using VOSviewer software (version 1.6.15), which allows analysis of the frequency of keywords in the analysed dataset and, at the same time, an analysis of their co-occurrence with other keywords. The article presents visualisations in the form of both a label view and a density view. Using the VOSviewer software, a summary of 2255 keywords was generated based on the uploaded set of publications and a dictionary allowing the combination or deletion of individual terms. The final map consisted of 36 keywords grouped into six clusters. The theoretical contribution of the paper consists in the identification of six clusters revolving around the issue of organisational ambidexterity. The clusters refer to 1) the relationship between organisational ambidexterity and a company’s ability to innovate, 2) organisational ambidexterity and dynamic capabilities, 3) perception of organisational ambidexterity as a useful framework of product development 4) perception of organisational ambidexterity as a framework to support human resource management, 5) the notion of exploitation and exploration and 6) contextual ambidexterity. Research limitations/implications: The analysis revealed a clear trend away from analysing structural and temporal ambidexterity in companies towards attributing more importance to individual ambidexterity which may be an interesting subject of future research inquiry. A limitation of the study is that it was based on publications from a single database, therefore it is interesting to analyse comparisons between other databases such as Web of Science or IEEE. Originality/value: The article fills the cognitive gap in demonstrating the latest trends in the research field. The findings could serve as a guide for researchers who aim for better understanding of the main progress and promising research trends in the field of organisational ambidexterity.

A bibliometric analysis of TASK Quarterly in the years 1997-2021 in terms of various bibliometric indicators was performed to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the publication of the first issue of the journal. The number of publications and citations increased over the mentioned span of years. The leading countries in terms of the greatest number of papers published in TASK Quarterly are Poland, Italy, Germany, Ukraine, USA and Russia. Moreover, it is shown that international collaboration can result in a greater number of citations per publication. The average publication time in TASK Quarterly is 77 days, including the average submission-acceptance time (44 days) and the average acceptance publication time (33 days). Based on the author’s findings, it can be seen that although TASK Quarterly is a journal devoted mainly to physical and computer sciences, many publications also focus on the aspects related to mathematics, biomedical engineering and biophysics. CFD, molecular dynamics, the finite element method (FEM) and numerical simulations are the most frequently used keywords in articles published in TASK Quarterly.

Introduction/background: The last few years have seen an increase in the number of publications that address research questions on public consultations in public governance. However, knowledge on this subject is dispersed, and there is a need for its systematisation. Aim of the paper: This paper aims to identify current and emerging research on public consultations in public governance. Materials and methods: This goal was achieved by conducting the Systematic Literature Review. Results and conclusions: The bibliometric analysis carried out has identified four main thematic clusters around which this research is conducted. These relate to: 1. issues directly related to the conduct of public consultations; 2. issues related to deliberative democracy and accompanying matters; 3. issues related to community involvement in public consultations processes; and 4. issues related to the influence of stakeholders and interest groups on the process of public consultations implementation. In addition, this publication has mapped thematic groups that are drivers for further research on public consultations (issues related to public participation in terms of cultural risk theory and public participation in Chinese version of authoritative deliberation) and niche topics for further development (issues related to stakeholders and interest groups in participatory public policy making).

Background: This paper presents a bibliometric overview of research published application of social network analysis in supply chain management in recent decades. It may be useful for showing the most important problems in this area. With this aim, Citespace is used to analyse the literature on the application of social network analysis in supply chain management to clarify the development and research trend. Bibliometric analysis is the quantitative study of bibliographic material. It provides a general picture of a research field that can be classified by papers, authors, and journals. The main objective of this study is to investigate the knowledge domain about application social network analysis in the supply chain field and reveal the thematic patterns and topics of high interest to researchers to predict emerging trends in the literature. Methods: To investigate the growth of studies about the applicable social network in supply chain management, 647 articles were reviewed by CiteSpace software. These papers were collected from the Core Collection of Thomson Reuters and published in 16 journals in operations research and management science from 2004 to 2021. Document co-citation analysis, clustering analysis, and citation burst detection were conducted to investigate and examine the thematic patterns, emerging trends, and critical articles of the knowledge domain. Results: Social network approaches are increasingly popular in the supply chain. Four major clusters are discussed in detail, namely multi-objective optimization, sustainable supply chain, supply network, and circular economy. Three research trends of supply chain network design, structural characteristics, and supplier selection and evaluation were identified based on citation bursts analysis. Conclusions: The present study offers a new approach to visualizing relevant data to synthesize scientific research findings of the application of social network analysis in supply chain management. Additionally, directions for future research in this area are presented.

Zakłócenia incydentalne, szczególnie takie, które wcześniej nie występowały, a ich prawdopodobieństwo w kontekście negatywnego wpływu było niewielkie, od kilku lat stanowią rzeczywistość gospodarczą. Konsekwencje zakłóceń oddziałują na funkcjonowanie podmiotów zlokalizowanych w najodleglejszych częściach globu, a zmieniające się źródła niepewności wymagają podejmowania działań, które pozwolą na budowę bardziej odpornych systemów. Zidentyfikowany ripple effect, definiowany jako nieprzewidywalne skalowanie jednoczesnego rozprzestrzeniania się zakłóceń w łańcuchach dostaw poprzez jego wiele szczebli, coraz częściej stanowi skutek występujących globalnych zagrożeń. W artykule zaprezentowano analizę bibliometryczną dotyczącą zagadnień związanych z łańcuchem dostaw, najczęściej identyfikowanych w ostatnich latach kryzysów i ich konsekwencji w postaci ripple effect. Celem analizy było wskazanie, jak zmienia się zainteresowanie tematyką ripple effect w ostatnich latach w kontekście analizy łańcucha dostaw, co uwidacznia rosnąca liczba publikacji naukowych, autorów, poszerzony obszar oraz zakres analiz badawczych. Wykorzystanie ripple effect w badaniach nad łańcuchem dostaw jest stosunkowo nowym zjawiskiem, a prezentacja danych ilościowych jest nowym spojrzeniem na badaną tematykę, która jest trudna do zbadania innymi metodami.

Incidental disruptions, especially those that were previously non-existent and unlikely in terms of their negative impact, have been an economic reality for several years. The consequences of disruptions affect the activities of entities located in the remotest parts of the globe, and changing sources of uncertainty require action to build more resilient systems. The identified ripple effect is increasingly a consequence of the global risks occurring. This paper presents a bibliometric analysis of supply chain issues, the most frequently identified crises in recent years and their ripple effect consequences. The aim of the analysis was to indicate how interest in the subject of the ripple effect has changed in recent years, in the context of supply chain analysis, as evidenced by the increasing number of scientific publications, authors, area and scope of research analysis. The growing competition for customers requires constant improvement of service quality, continuously raising the importance of this matter and the significance of the entire service sector. Essentially, service quality concerns not only the private but also the public sector. Service quality in the public sector has already been widely discussed in the literature. Among research themes in the frame of public service quality, the healthcare sector attracts particular attention from researchers. Therefore, this study aimed to identify research topics on the public service quality and healthcare quality discussed in the SCOPUS database from 2012 to 2022. A bibliometric technique and the VOSviewer software were used to analyse over 25 000 articles on public service and healthcare service published over ten years. As a result, a total of ten research themes were set up, five in the healthcare sector and five in the public sector, which were linked using keywords and presented on maps. The identified research themes demonstrate the most popular research directions and indicate research gaps related to the subject.

Technology assessment and selection problems have gained importance in recent decades as the used technology often determines the enterprises’ competitive advantage. Due to the extensive catalogue of criteria that should be considered and, on the other hand, the extensive catalogue of available technologies and solutions, the decision-making process of choosing a technology becomes a significant challenge for organisations and individuals. This study aims to identify the main research directions and trends in the scientific literature on applying multi-criteria analysis (MCA) in the context of technology assessment and/or technology selection. The author conducted a bibliometric analysis of publications indexed in the Web of Science and Scopus databases. The methodology of this study also included identifying the most productive authors, countries, organisations, and journals and analysing the occurrence and co-occurrence of terms. Final analyses included 380 publications retrieved from the Scopus database and 311 documents retrieved from the Web of Science repository. The analysis of the occurrence of terms and keywords allowed distinguishing two main research directions in using MCA methods in assessing and selecting industrial and health and medicine-related technologies. Some sub-areas have also been distinguished within these two areas: energy and renewable energy technologies, waste management, biomedical and medical technologies, and drug production technologies.
