The types of natural and agricultural science resources contained in the AGRO database have been characterized and their dynamic development in qualitative and quantitative terms in 2009–2016 has been described. In addition, types of database records are presented, with justification for their differentiation by: records containing only a bibliographic description of the article, bibliographic records along with authors’ affiliations, records with, in addition to the aforementioned elements, summaries and attachment bibliographies and records of the highest information value, most frequently searched by database users, in other words records containing full texts of articles. Furthermore, the database recipients and their information and search preferences based on surveys are defined. The use of AGRO in Poland and abroad is considered based on selected statistical data. The AGRO database development plans are discussed depending on the acquisition of funds for its maintenance and quantitative development and the multiplication of records with full texts.

Artykuł omawia teoretyczne podstawy systemów zarządzania publikacjami naukowymi, opisując m.in. analizę cytowań. Opisano najważniejsze obecnie bazy danych i systemy wyszukiwania artykułów naukowych. Przedstawiony został nowy system zarządzania publikacjami naukowymi.

This article presents the theoretical fundamentals of scientific document retrieval system, describing et al. citation analysis. The most important scientific documents databases and search systems for scientific publications are described. A new scientific document retrieval system are introduced.

Scharakteryzowano "lndex Translationum" - uniwersalne źródło informacji o przekładach książek. Bibliografia ta rejestruje tłumaczenia ze wszystkich dziedzin wiedzy, publikowane na całym świecie, dokonywane z i na wszystkie języki. Zaprezentowano genezę powstania bibliografii, jej założenia metodyczne i strukturę, z uwzględnieniem przekształceń, jakim podlegała-począwszy od roku 1932, kiedy ukazala się po raz pierwszy, aż po dzień dzisiejszy. Zwrócono także uwagę na aspekty funkcjonalne "Index Translationum", wskazując możliwości j ego praktycznego wykorzystania: od unikalnego źródła informacji jednocześnie typu dokumentacyjnego i faktograficznego do swoistego obserwatorium umożliwiającego monitorowanie i analizę międzynarodowych przepływów tłumaczeń.

The "Index Translationum"- universal source of information on book translations is characterized. This bibliography registers translations in all fields of knowledge, published all over the world, made from as well as into all languages. The origins of this bibliography, its methodical assumptions and structure are presented-beginning from 1932 when it was issued for the first time until present times. Attention is also paid to functional aspects of ",Index Translationum" and its possible practical uses are indicated: from a unique source of simultaneously documental and factographic information to specific observatory enabling to monitor and analyze the international flows of translations.

Dokonano próby statystycznej charakterystyki dostępnej autorce bibliografii geologicznej dotyczącej obszaru Karpat polsko – ukraińskich. Wykorzystano nie opublikowany spis prac zebranych przez J. Kruczka do roku 1997, uzupełniony przez autorkę o pozycje bibliograficzne z lat 1998–2005, która sporządziła elektroniczną wersję zebranej bibliografii w związku z realizacją polsko – ukraińskiego projektu badawczego. Przedmiotem statystycznej charakterystyki są podzbiory wydzieleń, według: roku ukazywania się poszczególnych tytułów, klasyfikacji tematycznej prac i wydawnictw. Liczebność poszczególnych podzbiorów zilustrowano wykresami graficznymi.

The author describes tentative statistical characteristics of available geological bibliography referring to the area of the Polish - Ukrainian Carpathians. The unpublished list of papers compiled by J. Kruczek until 1997 was utilized and supplemented by the author with papers from the years 1998-2005. The author prepared an electronic version of the assembled bibliography in connection with realization of a Polish - Ukrainian research project. The statistical characteristics comprises subsets of items distinguished in accordance with: the year of appearance, classification according to subject matter, and publishing house. Size of a particular subset was illustrated with diagrams.

Omówiono rozwój technologii ochrony katodowej w Polsce na przestrzeni pięćdziesięciu lat, posługując się w możliwie dużym stopniu doniesieniami opublikowanymi w czasopiśmie "Ochrona przed Korozją". Kolejno zaprezentowano początki organizacji walki z korozją w Polsce, rozwój techniki ochrony katodowej oraz jej wdrożeń w działalności przemysłowej w ostatnich kilku dekadach i obecnie. Przedstawiono zespoły prowadzące badania w zakresie ochrony elektrochemicznej oraz zarys ich dorobku naukowego i wdrożeniowego.

The development of cathodic protection technology in Poland over the past 50 years has been discussed, using to as large an extent as possible reports published in the journal "Ochrona przed Korozją". An overview has been provided of the beginnings of corrosion protection organisations in Poland and the development of cathodic protection techniques and their implementation in industry in the past several decades and at present. Research teams dealing with electrochemical protection as well as profiles of their achievements in research and implementation have been presented.

Gives a bibliographical review of the finite element analyses of rotating systems from the theoretical as well as practical points of view. The bibliography lists references to papers, conference proceedings and theses/dissertations that were published between 1998-2004. It is a continuation of the author's earlier bibliography with the same title published in Shock Vibration 6 (1999) 209-222 where papers published between 1994-1998 are listed. At the end of this paper 479 references are listed.
