Praca omawia tematykę badań kompatybilności elektromagnetycznej (KEM) bezprzerwowych zasilaczy awaryjnych (UPS). Określono stan normalizacji, uwarunkowania badań KEM wynikające ze środowiska elektromagnetycznego i trybu pracy. Podano zakres badań KEM dla UPS typu off-line o mocy do lWA.

The paper deals with problems of measurement of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) of uninterruptible power supply (UPS) units. To this end EMC normative and legislative documents are reviewed, including the adequate standards for EMC of UPS (EEC 62040-2:1999). The range of study and characterization of all conditions are given. A number of EMC tests for some popular off-line UPS providing up to lkVA is proposed. Appropriate measurement procedures for a range of electromagnetic environment and UPS types are described. The standard conditions of UPS EMC measurements were provided i.e. the most disadvantageous in terms of emission and immunity. Specific measurements conditions (test configuration, load, time of test) for particular UPS operation modes (normal mode, stored energy mode) are enumerated. The care is taken to limit USP assessment to a reasonable number of measurements. Performance criteria the proper UPS functioning are interpreted. Typical measurement points best suited to check emission and immunity requirements are described. The test plan for typical UPS is also given.
