Na dobrostan zwierząt wpływ ma wiele czynników. Jednym z nich jest transport, na który oddziałuje rozbudowana regulacja prawna. Jej podstawowym celem jest zapewnienie ochrony zwierząt przed negatywnymi jego skutkami oraz zapewnienie im bezpieczeństwa w toku jego wykonywania. Przewożenie zwierząt może być organizowane tylko przez przedsiębiorców spełniających wymagania ustawowe. Wszyscy jego uczestnicy, jak i sama procedura przewozu podlega kontroli na szczeblu kraju oraz UE.

There are many factors which influence on the farm animal welfare. The transportation is one of them. It is affected by extended legislation which takes aim to protect animals against the negative effects of transportation and to assure their proper safety. The transport might be provided only by the entrepreneurs who fulfill the legal conditions and hire the trained workers. All the participants are under the EUs’ and domestic authorities control.

Droga stanowi południową obwodnicę Bydgoszczy, a zbudowany odcinek jest fragmentem drogi ekspresowej S5 (węzeł w miejscowości Stryszek), przebudowywanym w ramach programu budowy tej drogi na odcinku Nowe Marzy - Bydgoszcz - Poznań oraz drogi S10 na odcinku Stryszek - Białe Błota.

In conformity with the regulation of the Minister of Transport and Sea Economy dated 30.05.2000 on technical specifications roadway engineering structures and their location should correspond to (Journal of Laws no. 63, item 735) when building a road class A, S, GP and G wild animals should be provided with a grade-separated crossing that will enable them getting from one side of the road to the other. The main road no. 5, road section from Stryszek to Białe Błota, crosses a forest complex and therefore a construction of two separate crossings in one place was required, in accordance with the standard openness ratio amounting to minimum 1.5. A detailed analysis showed that it is possible to build one crossing, thanks to which the costs will decrease. However, the adopted change required the gradeline alignment to be raised which was connected with increasing the earth mass within this section. The decision referring to changing the animal crossing construction concept from two openings to one had a yet another advantage, i.e. a shorter performance time and an earlier commencement of road surface-related works. The presented solution corresponds to the list of advantages of environmental and technological projects performed within regional programs, and the priorities of the Operational Program Infrastructure and Environment. Thus, the projects can be financed from the European Union's funds.
