The paper deals with the method of modeling ski jumping inrun profile in order to reduce inertia force acting on ski jumper during sliding down. Three types of trial profiles (cycloidal, parabolic and hyperbolic profile) have been taken under consideration. The radius of curvature as well as the angle of inclination of the starting segment and the normal reaction force acting on ski jumper during sliding down have been determined for each trial inrun profile. The obtained results were compared with Wielka Krokiew inrun characteristics. Thanks to its geometric and dynamic features, the cycloidal profile seems to be acceptable by proper authorities and ski jumpers.
