Przedstawiono badania wytrzymałości na obciążenia boczne i udarności narzędzi ściernych spojonych, prowadzone w Instytucie Zaawansowanych Technologii Wytwarzania. Celem badań było: zapewnienie bezpieczeństwa operatora oraz bezawaryjnej pracy obrabiarki lub zmechanizowanego narzędzia ręcznego, a także zwiększenie konkurencyjności rynkowej ściernic z certyfikatem.

The bonded abrasive tools were submitted to a program of strength tests with respect to side loads and impacts in the Institute of Advanced Manufacturing Processes. The test results were expected to indicate the issues enhancing operator’s safety or increasing operating reliability of a machine tool or a handheld power tool and increasing competitiveness of the certified bonded abrasive disks.

The paper presents a possibility of investigations on rotary tools, the bore mounted and the shank mounted, by means of the dynamic bursting strength method under the influence of centrifugal force, on WRS 26 high speed bursting machine. The tests have been required to ensure the safety of an operator, the failure-free run of the machine or hand held power tool and the higher competitiveness of rotary tools with supplied documentary evidence of the test safety results.
