The article is devoted to the issue of the negative effect of delays in the movement of special rescue vehicles on the effectiveness of their mission. The dependence of the area of fire on the delay of the arrival of firefighters using a fire-rescue vehicle is shown. The cascading graph of route options of special vehicle movement to the place of an emergency call is given. The algorithm of the optimal route choice of the special vehicle motion with given projected delays is offered. Based on the graph theory, probability theory, and the basic principles of traffic organization, the article proposes a new way to determine the optimal route.

Urządzenie GPS wraz z oprogramowaniem są coraz częściej stosowane w transporcie samochodowym do wyznaczania tras według różnych kryteriów. Można postawić następujące hipotezy: parametry techniczne urządzeń mają wpływ na jakość i szybkość uzyskiwania wyników, uzyskiwane wyniki przy pomocy oprogramowania różnych producentów są identyczne, wyznaczone trasy są najlepszymi rozwiązaniami według wybranego kryterium. Przeprowadzone zostały wstępne badania porównawcze, na podstawie których podjęto próbę weryfikacji powyższych hipotez.

GPS devices together with software are increasingly being used in road transport for routing according to various criteria. You can formulate the following hypotheses: the technical characteristics of equipment affect the quality and speed of obtaining results, the results obtained using software from different manufacturers are identical, the designated routes are the best solutions according to a selected criterion. Preliminary comparative studies were conducted, on the basis of which an attempt has been made to verify the above hypotheses.
