In the paper is presented information concerning production in the world and the country of the engine gasolines with ethanol additives and obligatory specifications in term of quality requirements. Moreover the results of the comparative measurement for the exhaust gases emission were presented for the cars FORD MONDEO 1.8 fed with the typical hydrocarbon gasoline 95 and gasoline with ethanol additive. There to have on the regard of the recommendation of the Instruction 2003/30/EC in relation replacements to 2010 the year 5.75% energies in the transportation with the renewable energy , this is existed by the possibility of the amendments of the EN 228 STANDARD in the range of the rise of the upper limit of the participation the ethanol to 10(V/V)% in motor petrols.

W referacie zamieszczono informacje dotyczące produkcji benzyn silnikowych z dodatkiem etanolu na i w kraju oraz obowiązujące specyfikacje odnośnie wymagań jakościowych dla tych paliw. Ponadto zedstawiono wyniki pomiarów porównawczych emisji spalin dla samochodów marki FORD MONDEO 1.8 wlanych klasyczną benzyną węglowodorową 95 oraz benzyną z dodatkiem etanolu ok. 5 %(V/V). Mając na ględzie zalecenia Dyrektywy 2003/30/EC odnośnie zastąpienia do 2010 roku 5.75% energii w transporcie energią odnawialną, to istnieje możliwość nowelizacji normy EN 228 w zakresie podwyższenia górnej granicy i etanolu do 10% (V/V) w benzynach silnikowych.
