Prawdy w architekturze, jak wszystkie prawdy śmiertelnych, należą do czasu. Moderniści w XX w. wierzyli, że prawdę przekształcania przestrzeni dyktuje nauka. Jedną z takich utopijnych koncepcji było zburzenie Whitehallu w Londynie i zastąpienie „nowoczesną, racjonalną” zabudową. Martin Heidegger twierdzi, że sztuka (poezja) jest bezpośrednią emanacją, przejawem bytu. Byt jest prawie niedostępny myśleniu śmiertelnych na Ziemi, bo przesłonięty, zbyt ściśle związany z byciem. Jest to konsekwencja czasu, w którym prawda (greckie aletheia - nieprzesłonięta) jest nie-do-zauważenia przez myślenie. Natomiast sztuka to u-dzielanie prawdy. Dzisiaj prawdy istnieją jeszcze w przekazie tradycji i tam możemy badać ich naturę. Antyczni Grecy prawdę sztuki widzieli jako odkrytość (oczywistość) i kalos kagatos (kalokagatija) - nierozłączne piękno-dobro. Prawda jako piękno może zamienić się miejscami ze złem - w antyprawdę. Jest ona nie do odróżnienia od prawdy.

Truths in architecture, as all truths of the mortals, belong to time. In the 20th century the modernists believed that the truth of space transformation was dictated by science. One of such utopian ideas was to demolish Whitehall in London and to replace it with “modern and rational” buildings. Martin Heidegger claims that art (poetry) is a direct emanation or manifestation of existence. However, existence is virtually inaccessible to thinking of mortals on Earth, because it is concealed and associated too closely with being. This is a consequence of time in which truth (in Greek: aletheia - unconcealed) is imperceptible by thinking. On the other hand, art is the impartment of truth. Nowadays, truths still exist in the message of tradition and their nature can be examined there. The ancient Greeks perceived truth of art as kalos kagatos (kalokagatija) - beauty-good. Nevertheless, truth as beauty can swap places with evil and turn into antitruth which is indistinguishable from truth.

Purpose: the main purpose of the paper is to support the sustainable development of the health resort areas by protecting their unique resources. Design/methodology/approach: the research is based on the descriptive and comparative statistical method and literature review, critical literature analysis, documentary research and comparative analysis. Findings: on the basis of the conducted analyses and research it can be concluded that a systematic increase in the living standard of the residents of the researched health resort areas is clearly visible. The key factor that may determine further increase in the living standard of the residents of the areas appears to be the development of knowledge-based economies together with the development of innovative technologies and products as well as efficient management. Originality/value: it should be assumed that the research into health resort area will be based to a large extent on its endogenous conditions and its strategic advantages. The key potential in this area is people and their knowledge, as well as skills, competencies and talents which shape social attitudes and influence behaviour towards the changes taking place, thus influencing acceptability or resistance to them.

Bycie w przestrzeni miasta to splot wzajemnych relacji człowieka z miastem, to wielowątkowy dialog niemający końca. To swoisty palimpsest, którego wcześniejszy zapis często został już tylko w formie przeżytych emocji, doznań, więzi społecznych wcześniejszych pokoleń, śladów w strukturze miasta. To tradycja, zwyczaje, styl życia i w końcu świadomość, bez której nie można by mówić o tożsamości. Wszystko to przekazywane kolejnym pokoleniom kształtuje nasz byt, gdyż miasto to oprócz takich wyznaczników w przestrzeni jak ulica, dom, plac, fontanna, to również pozamaterialne doświadczanie miasta.

Being in a city expanse is a coincidence of mutual relations of a man and a city, this is a never-ending, multithread dialog. That is peculiar palimpsest which previous record has been registered only by a form of outlived emotions, experiences, social bonds of prior generations and marks in a structure of a city. That is tradition, customs, life style and last but not least that is consciousness without which there is no identity. All that, passed on next generations forms our being because a city apart from streets, houses, squares and fountains that is also an immaterial experience.
