Computer banks of product data as a factor to improve the efficiency of their study

The actuality and perspective of creation of banking (information bases) data used for product research is scientifically substantiated. The author’s vision of their content, function, purpose, structure is indicated. The expediency and directions of the use of these banks in the theoretical direction (for the development of modern methodological research of goods and processing of modern requirements for the nomenclature and significant characteristics of consumer goods) and practical directions (for effective organoleptic study of goods, preparation and control the level of knowledge of specialists involved in the study of goods and trade in goods) are shown.

Stan obecny i perspektywa tworzenia danych bankowych (baz informacyjnych) wykorzystywanych do badań produktów jest naukowo uzasadniona. W artykule wskazano, jak powinna wyglądać ich treść, funkcja, cel, struktura. Zaprezentowano celowość i kierunki wykorzystania tych baz w teorii (dla rozwoju nowoczesnych badań metodologicznych towarów i przetwarzania nowoczesnych wymagań dla nazewnictwa i istotnych cech towarów konsumpcyjnych), w praktyce (dla efektywnego badania organoleptycznego towarów) oraz przygotowanie i kontrolę poziomu wiedzy specjalistów zajmujących się badaniem towarów i handlem towarami.

In this work, attention is focused on the salience and repetition of symmetry and colour features over shifts of time and on the preference of symmetries and colours in Lithuanian traditional textiles within all ethnic regions. The analysis of ornamental symmetry is based on the geometrical characteristics governing the structures of these designs. For this reason, Woods’ classification and notation system as improved for woven ornaments is applied. The ornaments of Lithuanian pick-up sashes and overshot fabrics have been analysed using the original computer-aided data bank, which stores record-sets of 600 exhibits collected from the resources of the M.K. Čiurlionis National Museum of Art. Using computer-aided simulations of the ornaments helps to both preserve and analyse these sensitive and archaic textiles. The results obtained from the analysis of Lithuanian ornaments on pick-up sashes and overshot fabrics contribute to the understanding of the originality of character of these traditional textiles, and the versatile relationship between the culture’s mentality and technologies.

W przedstawionej pracy skupiono się na występowaniu w ciągu minionych wieków cech charakterystycznych i powtarzalności symetrii i kolorów. Badano preferencję różnych symetrii i kolorów tradycyjnych tkanin litewskich we wszystkich regionach etnicznych Litwy. Analiza symetrii ornamentów oparta jest na geometrycznej charakterystyce, której podlegają struktury analizowanych deseni. W tym celu zastosowano klasyfikację Wooda i system notacji udoskonalone i przystosowane do ornamentów tkanin. Analizowano ornamenty litewskich pasów i drelichów, korzystając ze wspomaganego komputerowo banku danych, gromadzącego 600 zapisów, wyselekcjonowanych ze zbiorów Narodowego Muzeum Sztuki im. M.K. Ciurlionisa. Komputerowa symulacja ornamentów pomaga analizować, jednocześnie chroniąc delikatne zabytkowe tekstylia. Wyniki przeprowadzonej analizy litewskich ornamentów stanowią przyczynek do lepszego zrozumienia oryginalności i charakteru tych tradycyjnych tekstyliów, jak również związków pomiędzy świadomością kulturową a technologią.

Przedstawiono genezę powstania i kształtowania się rozbudowy banku danych o urządzeniach dla rolnictwa i leśnictwa. W latach 1975-1990, czyli w okresie, gdy polska gospodarka była sterowana centralnie, wprowadzono do banku danych 2332 wyroby. W latach 1991-2000, czyli w latach po transformacji polskiej gospodarki, wprowadzono do banku 7597 wyrobów. W artykule zwrócono również uwagę na korzyści, jakie odnoszą producenci, którzy zarejestrowali swój wyrób w banku danych. Opisany bank danych jest jedyną pełną bazą informacji o wyrobach produkowanych w Polsce oraz importowanych do Polski.

Origin and development of the data bank about the equipment for agriculture and forestry are presented in the article. In the 1975-1990 years, that is when the Polish economy was centrally managed, there were 2332 products introduced to this data bank. However in the 1991-2000 years, that is after transformation of the economy, the data bank was enriched already by 7597 products. In the article attention is also drawn to the advantages for the producers whose products are registered in the data bank. It is worth to know that the described data bank is the sole full base of information about the products which are made in Poland as well as about the products imported to the country.

Database developed in Polish Oil and Gas Institute was designed to give fast and easy access to geological, production, laboratory and technical data obtained during underground gas storage operations. The base has been built in procedures concerning data screening for errors, for filtering to obtain needed information and for material balance. The base contains data from UGS Husów, Wierzchowice, Strachocina. Brzeźnica and Swarzów. AU the data can be used for any type of geological and production analysis. The gathered data allow to run reservoir simulation projects.
