In the conformity control of concrete, different criteria are in use. The current design codes are based on the semi-probabilistic design format. This supposes that a sufficient degree of control exists to assure that a distribution of concrete strength is in accordance with the assumption on which the design procedure is based. The following aspects of conformity control of concrete strength are covered: - general concept and types of conformity criteria, - hazard and risk in conformity control, - risk-based conformity criteria, - concept of risk balance between producer and client.

Badanie polegało na zastosowaniu rozszerzonej przez autora metody Information Economics. Temat został podjęty w celu badania oceny wdrożenia i eksploatacji dwóch systemów informatycznych w wybranym przedsiębiorstwie przemysłowym. Efektywność wdrożenia i eksploatacji systemów oceniali niezależni eksperci. Pierwszy system oceniło ośmiu, a drugi czterech ekspertów. Uzyskane oceny poddano badaniom statystycznym mającym na celu znalezienie prawidłowości, by na tej podstawie wnioskować o przydatności metody.

The essence of the research was the usage of Information Economics method, extended by the author. The method was used to measure the assessment of implementation and exploitation of two different IT systems in selected industrial enterprise. The assessment of implementation and exploitation effectiveness was performed by independent experts. First system was assessed by 8 and the second by 4 experts. The achieved results were statistically processes in search for regularities, in order to use it as a base for concluding the usefulness of the method.

Naświetlono - z punktu widzenia technika - problematykę narażeń elektromagnetycznych powodowanych przez stacje bazowe systemów telefonii komórkowej i związanego z tym ewentualnego ryzyka zdrowotnego. Część pierwsza artykułu ma charakter ogólny - wprowadzający. Przedstawiono ogólną koncepcję wielokrotnego wykorzystania kanałów częstotliwościowych i zalety systemów komórkowych. Krótko omówiono interfejs radiowy systemów GSM 900 i DCS 1800 z naciskiem położonym na stacje bazowe i te ich parametry, które są najważniejsze dla oceny narażeń.

The paper deals - from the technical viewpoint - with consiederations of possible adverse health effects from human exposure to radio-freguency radiation from base stations of cellular telephony. In the first, introductory part of the paper, the advantages of the frequency reuse concept and benefits of mobile phone cellular technology are described. The GSM 900 and DCS 1800 radio interfaces are briefly characterized with emphasis placed on the frequency bands and channel separations, architecture and power classes of cellular base stations and general characteristics of base station antennas.
