Objective of this work was to realize a test of durability of railway engine EMD645 with power about 1300 kW. Within the framework of this test were investigated a prototyped piston’s rings with diamond embankment. Piston rings are made of chromium layer with including of diamond powders technology with a porous chromium coating, where in pores is deposited on said diamond powder with a grain size about 1 micron. The work will be carried out of an analysis of collaboration piston-piston rings-cylinder unit in internal combustion engine and an analysis of the use of hard materials (diamond powder) in friction pairs. During work of this unit we can observe wear of piston rings, precisely - of coating which is deposited on ring to prolong service life. After testing of the locomotive engine EMD645 on the basis of the collected results are developed conclusions of the wearing intensity on piston ring and relating them to the requirements for coatings. The work aims to show the possibilities and benefits of the application of new protective coatings on structural elements of the internal combustion engine in order to reduce their wearing, which is consistent with the observed trend of technology development.

W pracy omówiono przyczyny występowania uszkodzeń motoryzacyjnych i ich rodzaje. Zawarto cechy charakterystyczne przełomów zmęczeniowych w odniesieniu do wskazania przyczyn ich wystąpienia. Zaprezentowano wybrane stanowiska badawcze do testowania podzespołów motoryzacyjnych i ich wersje modułowe - wyposażane w specjalistyczne komory oraz rekonfigurowalne - zawierające gabarytową płytę montażową. Przedstawiono szczegóły testów stanowiskowych komponentów pojazdów specjalnych, jak ramy wychylne oraz stałe, w tym wykonane ze stali wysokowytrzymałej S700MC. Zaprezentowano charakterystyki naprężenie-odkształcenie, parametry mechaniczne oraz krzywe Wöhlera wymienionego rodzaju materiału w stanie dostawy i po spawaniu.

The purpose of this paper is to study the durability of concrete reinforced with hemp fibers in the face of external Sulfatic attack. For this purpose, five types of concrete were formulated; three types of concrete reinforced with hemp fibers (HC-0.25, HC-0.5, and HC-1) at 0.25%, 0.5%, and 1 % of hemp fibers in volume, respectively. And two control concretes, being ordinary concrete (OC) and polypropylene fiber reinforced concrete (PC). To assess the sulfatic attacks, the described concrete types underwent two aging protocols: 1) a complete immersion in 12.5 % Sodium Sulfate (Na2SO4) solution, and 2) an accelerated aging protocol consisting of immersion/drying in the same sulfate solution at a temperature of 60°C. The results show that concrete reinforced with 0.25 % of hemp fibers is the optimal amount compared to control concretes in terms of physico-mechanical performance and durability under sulfate attack. This number of fibers could enable the production of green and durable structural concretes based on untreated hemp fibers.

Na przestrzeni ostatnich lat parkowanie samochodów, w szczególności w wielkich miastach, stało się jednym z najważniejszych problemów urbanistycznych. Problem staje się coraz bardziej zauważalny, dlatego wymaga to prowadzenia racjonalnej polityki, spójnej z polityką komunikacyjną i inwestycyjną miast. Analizy wykazują, iż obecnie niezbędne jest wybudowanie na poziomie około 3 mln miejsc parkingowych. Znaczną część tych miejsc można uzyskać w zakresie realizacji garaży wielopoziomowych nadziemnych, generujących tym samym niskie koszty utrzymania oraz zmniejszających zapotrzebowanie na teren pod parkingi. Autorzy referatu prezentują doświadczenia praktyczne z realizacji 5-kondygnacyjnego parkingu przy zastosowaniu zespolonych prefabrykatów wykonanych z betonu o podwyższonych parametrach trwałościowych z innowacyjną warstwą żywiczną, dzięki którym objętość konstrukcji uległa redukcji, obniżono tym samym koszt realizacji inwestycji oraz zredukowano energochłonność produkcji i wskaźnik emisji CO2.

Car parking in recent years; in large cities in particular it has become one of the most important urban problems. The problem is becoming more and more noticeable, which is why it requires rational policy consistent with the communication and investment policy of cities. Analyzes show that it is currently necessary to build around 3 million parking spaces. A significant part of these places can be obtained in the implementation of above-ground multi-level garages, thus generating low maintenance costs and reducing the demand for parking lots. The authors of the paper present practical experience from the implementation of a 5-storey car park using composite recast concrete elements made of concrete with increased durability parameters with an innovative resin layer, thanks to which the volume of the structure has been reduced, thereby reducing the cost of investment, and reducing the energy consumption of production and CO2 emission index.

A small-size stand for vibroacoustic and durability testing of rolling bearings is presented in this paper. Main purposes and motivations for building this stand were not only to assist research and development works but also to familiarize students with techniques and methods of rolling bearings diagnosing as well as to improve their skills of assessment of rolling bearings technical condition. The project assumptions of the stand, mechanical construction and architecture of data acquisition and analysis system (hardware and software) are described in this paper. Finally there are conclusions about stand’s capabilities included.

Żywotność elektrod do zgrzewania rezystancyjnego punktowego jest jednym z istotnych zagadnień technologicznych. Można ją ocenić na podstawie czasochłonnych i żmudnych badań trwałościowych. W artykule przedstawiono metodykę badań oraz wyniki przeprowadzonego testu porównawczego trwałości dwóch rodzajów elektrod, w którym wykorzystano zmechanizowane stanowisko testowe do tego celu, wydatnie skracające czas prowadzenia badań oraz eliminujące wiele niedogodności i niekorzystnych zjawisk w czasie stosowanej procedury.

Lifetime of electrodes for resistance spot welding is one of the most important technological issues. It can be assessed basing on time-consuming and arduous durability testing. The paper presents the electrode life test methodology and results of the comparative test of two types of electrodes. The new mechanized test stand was applied for this purpose which significantly shortened the tests’ duration and eliminated a number of drawbacks and unfavorable phenomena in the course of the procedure.
