Z uwagi na specyfikę betonu jako materiału konstrukcyjnego, którego właściwości są nie tylko efektem procesu produkcyjnego, ale także późniejszych procesów technologicznych związanych z jego wbudowywaniem i dojrzewaniem, oprócz kontroli zgodności obowiązującej producenta betonu, przewidziano w normach jeszcze dwie kontrole – badania identyczności wykonywane przez odbiorcę betonu (lub nadzór) oraz badania betonu już wbudowanego w konstrukcję w przypadku wątpliwości co do jego jakości. Warto wiedzieć, że te dwie ostatnie kontrole opracowano na podobnych założeniach statystycznych w analizie uzyskanych wyników badań. Łatwiej wtedy będzie planować zakres tych badań.

Because of the characteristics of concrete as a construction material, the properties of which are not only the result of the production process, but also subsequent technological processes related to its incorporation and maturation, in addition to the compliance control applicable to the concrete manufacturer, the standards provide for two more checks - identity tests performed by the recipient of the concrete (or supervision) and testing of concrete already embedded in the structure in case of doubts as to its quality. It is worth knowing that the latter two controls were developed on the basis of similar statistical assumptions in the analysis of the obtained test results. Consequently, it will be easier to plan the scope of these studies.

In April 2014 the new Polish version of the standard covering concrete PN-EN 206:2014-04 was approved. In December 2016 it was superseded by the standard PN-EN 206+A1:2016-12. They replaced the standard PN-EN 206-1:2003 which had been present for more than 10 years. A cursory reading of the standard may suggest that the changes are insignificant. However, a deeper analysis shows that the rules of evaluation of conformity and evaluation identity testing have been expanded and significantly modified. What is more, the standard introduces issues related to self-compacting concrete SCC and concrete for geotechnical applications. Thus there are no separate volumes covering special concretes (eg. PN-EN 206-9 for SCC concrete) but the new content has been included in one volume number 206.

Omówiono ustalenia obowiązujących od 1 lipca 2013 r. nowych zasad stosowania wyrobów budowlanych, wprowadzonych Rozporządzeniem Parlamentu Europejskiego i Rady (UE) nr 305/2011 z 9 marca 2011 r. Pomimo zasadniczej ich intencji uproszczenia i ułatwienia procedur, pozostaje wiele niejasności i niedomówień. To z kolei może w skrajnych przypadkach wprowadzać w błąd odbiorców i doprowadzać do nieprawidłowego zastosowania wyrobów budowlanych. Te problemy omówiono w artykule.

From the 1st of July 2013 has set new rules for the application of construction products introduced by Construction Products Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council (EU) No 305/2011 of 9 March 2011. Despite substantial their intention to simplify and facilitate the procedures, leaving many ambiguities and understatements. These, in turn, can in extreme cases mislead consumers and can lead to improper use of construction products.
