The article presents the history of landslide research in Poland, with particular reference to the 21st century. An overview of the published works shows the evolution of the interests of scientists from the work describing selected landslides to methodological studies. In all, 2350 articles that have been published till now include books, articles and abstracts of conferences. The leading research centers include: the Polish Geological Institute – National Research Institute, the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow and the Institute of Geography and Spatial Organization of the Polish Academy of Sciences.

Prowadzone badania i poszukiwania dokumentów mających przybliżać rozwój struktury miasta Przemyśla, co pewien czas przynoszą nowy zbiór dokumentacji, z którego stopniowo można odczytywać kształowanie się organizmu miejskiego. Zamieszczone fragmenty źródłowe pozwalają wkreślić kilka istotnych szczegółów-elementów w zmieniającą się przestrzeń miejską. Nowa tkanka miejska tworzona była w oparciu o nadawane przywileje, tworzone prawo, decyzje właścicieli dóbr ziemskich, czy wreszcie w wyniku dążeń mieszkańców do spełniania własnych zamierzeń, ambicji i aspiracji. Kłótnie i spory można uznać za jeden z czynników stymulujących przekształcenia tkanki miejskiej.

The research which is carried out as well as the process of seeking documents concerning the development of the structure of Przemyśl, from time to time bring a new set of documentation, from which there can be progressively read out the shape of the urban organism. Fragments which are found in the source texts give important details-elements of urban space which is constantly changing. The new picture of city life was created on the basis of privileges given, law which was then created, the decisions of landowners, and finally as a result of eagerness of residents to meet their own goals, ambitions and aspirations. Quarrels and disputes among city dwellers can be considered as one of the factors that stimulated the transformation of the urban structure of the town.
