Stworzenie systemu sterowania maszyny o badań okien i drzwi do zamontowania w pojazdach szynowych jest jednym z elementów mających na celu rozpoczęcie badań okien i drzwi pociągów podróżujących z większymi prędkościami. Sam system sterowania jest podzielony na dwa współpracujące z sobą inne systemy łącznie stanowiące jedną całość. Systemy podwładne to system sterujący pracą stanowiska badawczego (częstotliwością pracy) oraz czuwający nad bezpieczeństwem urządzenia oraz osób przebywających w jego pobliżu w trakcie pracy. Drugi systemem jest odpowiedzialny za dokonywanie pomiarów oraz wykonywaniu wstępnych analiz.

Creation of steering system for testing machine for windows and doors mounted in rail vehicles is one of elements with the aim to start testing of windows and doors for high speed trains. The steering system is divided in two cooperating systems that are one whole unit. Subordinate systems are the system steering the work of testing stand (work frequency) and controlling the safety of device and of persons present nearby. The other system is responsible for measurements and initial analyses. Testing of windows and doors mounted in trains are a part of continuous work of RAWAG on these elements, their incessant research and testing. All these activities aim certification of the products in respect of passenger safety, their reliability and resistance, as well as continuous improving of the position of RAWAG on the market, also on the world market. In order to achieve wished results RAWAG cooperates with Technical University in Opole and builds a testing stand for testing of windows and doors for rail vehicles. Their method, range and kind is defined in International Railway Union's norm UIC 566. A basic element of this is the research of dynamic loads put on complete elements (windows and door ) installed in testing stand in an identical way as it is in vehicle. The situation must be identical with the situation, when two trains pass each other and the most extreme situation when these trains pass each other in a tunnel. In case of an unsuitable construction or assembly elements of construction may be pulled out from carriage covers and cause accidents or disasters. This kind of testing aims at improvement of active and passive safety of passengers.
