Content available remote Utility of an Automated Thermal-Based Approach for Monitoring Evapotranspiration

A very simple remote sensing-based model for water use monitoring is presented. The model acronym DATTUTDUT (Deriving Atmosphere Turbulent Transport Useful To Dummies Using Temperature) is a Dutch word which loosely translates as “it’s unbelievable that it works”. DATTUTDUT is fully automated and only requires a surface temperature map, making it simple to use and providing a rapid estimate of spatially- distributed fluxes. The algorithm is first tested over a range of environmental and land-cover conditions using data from four short-term field experiments and then evaluated over a growing season in an agricultural region. Flux model output is in satisfactory agreement with observations and established remote sensing-based models, except under dry and partial canopy cover conditions. This suggests that DATTUTDUT has utility in identifying relative water use and as an operational tool providing initial estimates of ET anomalies in data-poor regions that would be confirmed using more robust modeling techniques

Modern automated production requires technologies to provide stability in machining procedures and the absolute repeatability of the quality parameters obtained on the parts produced. Without the development of a new level of ESM procedures, the generation and implementation of technological equipment, and its complex functioning, it is impossible to produce new generation GTE for modern civil and military aircraft, as well as ships and power plants. For this purpose, issues of the technology to be created for electrochemical rotary machining of GTE blading elements have been considered, including the following aspects: features of the technology of automated GTE compressor blades manufacture, kinematic schemes of work motions of tool electrodes, and constructions of tool electrodes for electrochemical rotary machining. New engineering solutions have been offered that considerably increase the efficiency of the rotary electrochemical machining of gas turbine engine blading elements.

W referacie przedstawiono projekt wstępny zautomatyzowanego garażu o przepustowości po 600 samochodów na godzinę w dwie strony. Garaże takie będą zaspokajać potrzeby parkingowe wynikaj ce ze wzrostu liczby samochodów w rozwijaj cych si aglomeracjach miejskich.

The number – 600 parking places was chosen at random. It is possible to design a garage with 720 cars taken in and given out per hour. The presented garage has a very high capacity, which has never been met before, which can be very beneficial to the drivers who start and finish driving in the same place in rush hour. bIt has been submitted to grant a patent for the invention: Multi-storey automated over ground garage for cars.

The paper deals with investigation of automated design systems, its adaptation to user’s requirements and development of subsystem for conversion of 2D drawings to 3D parts. The methodology of solid part development and algorithm of this solution are presented. Using AutoLISP programming language the required programs are created . By employing this methodic for 2D detail drawings conversion to 3D parts it is possible to design any complicated solid part. The methodology is attached to Mechanical Desktop system.

Praca zawiera badania nad automatycznie projektującymi systemami, ich adaptacją do potrzeb użytkownika i podsystemami tworzenia obiektów trójwymiarowych na podstawie rysunków dwuwymiarowych. W pracy zaprezentowano metodę konstrukcji obiektu dwuwymiarowego i algorytmu rozwiązującego ten problem. Implementacji, na przykładzie programu wspomagającego projektowanie elementów w mechanice, dokonano w języku AutoLISP.
