Selected logistic aspects of acquiring financial resources on the capital market and processes of optimal control of investment portfolio

The article presents the concept of capital control in processes of purchase of investment portfolios for financing logistic enterprises. The purchased portfolio was optimized according to two variants. Portfolio I was defined with the use of traditional method (the square programming method with the Lagrangean function). Portfolio II was constructed with the use of elements of the reliability theory and the dynamic programming method. The article also contains the analysis of sale of the owned portfolio in the light of demand for financial instruments on the capital market.

W artykule przedstawiono koncepcje sterowania kapitałem w procesach nabycia portfeli inwestycyjnych dla potrzeb finansowania przedsięwzięć logistycznych. Nabywany portfel został zoptymalizowany według wariantów. Portfel I określony został przy zastosowaniu metody tradycyjnej (metoda programowania kwadratowego z wykorzystaniem funkcji Lagrange’a). Portfel II skonstruowany został z wykorzystaniem elementów teorii niezawodności i metody programowania dynamicznego. Artykuł zawiera również analizę sprzedaży posiadanego portfela w aspekcie popytu na instrumenty finansowe na rynku kapitałowym.

The article is an attempt to present the legal and logistical factors that influenced the need to build and implement legislative solutions in the field of safety of transport operations on the waters surrounding the European continent, especially in the transport of crude oil, petroleum products and hazardous materials. Maritime disasters, such as those involving the Erika and Prestige, also influenced the decision to establish a European Maritime Safety Agency. It holds range of tools and instruments, legal and organizational measures to initiate legislation and the creation of a database of good practices in the field of maritime safety.

Rosnący poziom konkurencji na pasażerskim rynku usług lotniczych wymaga stosowania coraz doskonalszych metod segmentacji, zarówno grup konsumenckich, produktów i usług oraz rynkowego pozycjonowania usługi i firmy. Efektywna realizacja tych założeń jest w znacznym stopniu zależna od wykorzystania skutecznego łańcucha logistycznych powiązań i hierarchii istotnych zależności w tym zakresie oferowania. W artykule przedstawiono zróżnicowanie logistycznych działań podejmowanych w procesie segmentacji i pozycjonowania wraz z oceną istniejących w tej działalności szczególnych kryteriów decydujących o podjęciu określonej strategii, jej formach i wariantach. Zaprezentowano również podstawowe strategie marketingowe przedsiębiorstw lotniczych jako niezbędne w tworzeniu globalnego wolumenu korzyści. Zidentyfikowano uwarunkowania, stymulatory oraz wykazano ich wpływ na kształtowanie wyników operacyjnych, zarówno w przypadku odrębnej specjalizacji kreowania kilku form, jak i co najmniej jednej zunifikowanej usługi, oczekiwanej przez odbiorców w każdym segmencie. Dokonano również oceny wpływu segmentacji i pozycjonowania na poprawę poziomu efektywności ekonomicznej w przedsiębiorstwach pasażerskich usług lotniczych.

Growing level of competition within the market for passenger air services requires the use of increasingly perfected segmentation methods, in relation to consumer groups, as well as products (services) and market positioning of companies. Effective realization of these objectives is largely dependent on the use of efficient chain of logistic links and hierarchy in the system of significant relationships. The article presents the diversity of activities undertaken in the process of segmentation and positioning, especially the criteria for taking a particular strategy, its forms and variations, supported by marketing activities. It presents the basic marketing strategies of airlines as essential in the creation of the global volume of benefits and triggers the conditions, stimulators and the impact of effects of these activities on both the distinct specialization of creating a number of forms, as well at least one unified service expected by customers in each segment. In the text an assessment of the impact of segmentation and positioning affecting the improvement of the level of economic efficiency in enterprises passenger air services was also made.

Rosnące koszty transportu powodują, że firmy poszukują takich rozwiązań, które będą wiązały się z możliwie jak najmniejszym zaangażowaniem środków finansowych. Jedną z metod tego typu jest transport drobnicowy, który polega na tym, iż przestrzeń ładunkowa kontenera jest wykorzystana tylko częściowo, dzięki czemu możliwy jest transport towarów stanowiących własność więcej niż jednego podmiotu. Zastosowanie tej formy transportu wpływa na elastyczność dostaw oraz ich dopasowanie do bieżących potrzeb odbiorcy. W artykule umieszczono opis transportu drobnicowego ze szczególnym zwróceniem uwagi na przewozy międzynarodowe oraz z uwzględnieniem analizy komparatystycznej odnośnie innych gałęzi transportu. W artykule zawarto informacje dotyczące całokształtu procesów logistycznych związanych z kompleksowym wykonaniem tego rodzaju usługi przewozowej oraz zwrócono uwagę na niedogodności ograniczające dynamikę rozwoju LCL, takie jak wysoki stopień złożoności opłat taryfowych, komplikacje formalne dotyczące procedury odbioru przesyłki oraz ryzyko związane z uszkodzeniem towaru.

Rising transport costs mean that companies are looking for solutions that will involve as little as possible with the commitment of funds. One of the methods of this type is general cargo transport, which consists in the fact that the cargo space of the container is used only partially, so that it is possible to transport of goods owned by more than one entity. The use of this form of transport affects the flexibility of supply and their adaptation to the current needs of the customer. The article contains a description of the general cargo transport, with particular reference to international transport and taking into account the comparative analysis with regard to other modes of transport. The article includes information about the overall logistic processes relating to the comprehensive implementation of this kind of transport services and attention to the inconvenience of limiting the dynamics of development of the LCL, such as a high degree of complexity of the tariff charges, formal complications on the receipt of the consignment and the risks connected with damage of the goods.

W artykule przedstawiono wybrane logistyczne aspekty planowania sieci kooperacji i obciążenia zasobów małych i średnich przedsiębiorstw funkcjonujących w ramach klastra. Szczególną uwagę zwrócono na najważniejsze wymagania stawiane współczesnym systemom IT dedykowanych sektorowi MŚP celem wsparcia procesu nawiązywania więzi kooperacyjnych oraz planowania i realizacji wspólnych przedsięwzięć. Przedstawiono także propozycję systemu informatycznego opracowanego w ramach projektu badawczego nt. „Modelowanie wirtualnych sieci produkcyjnych małych i średnich przedsiębiorstw" finansowanego ze środków NCN na podstawie umowy 4039/B/H03/2011/40, który pozwala na planowanie sieci i obciążenia zasobów przedsiębiorstw klastra realizujących wspólne zlecenia produkcyjne w warunkach występowania ograniczeń zasobowych i logistycznych przedsiębiorstw klastra.

The article presents selected logistical aspects of network planning cooperation and load resources of small and medium-sized enterprises operating within the cluster. Particular attention was paid to the most important requirements of modern IT systems dedicated to the SME sector in order to support the process of establishing cooperative ties and the planning and implementation of joint projects. There is also presented a proposal for an information system developed in the framework of a research project on "Modeling of virtual production networks of small and medium-sized enterprises" funded by the National Science Centre under contract 4039/B/H03/2011/40 that allows the network to be planned and resource of cluster companies to be loaded which realize joint production orders in conditions of resource and logistics constraints of cluster enterprises.

Otoczenie współczesnych organizacji stawia przed nimi nie lada wyzwanie. Przedsiębiorstwa pragnące konkurować z najlepszymi, dążące do realizacji biznesu na światowym poziomie nie są zainteresowane jednorazowymi sukcesami. Ich podstawowym celem jest osiąganie długotrwałych korzyści biznesowych poprzez spełnienie wymagań klientów i innych zainteresowanych stron. Ocena poziomu spełnienia kluczowych kryteriów sukcesu organizacji, rozumianego w kontekście długofalowych korzyści, nie może być realizowana z pominięciem aspektów logistycznych. W artykule oprócz klasycznych modeli doskonałości w logistyce oraz modeli oceny dojrzałości organizacyjnej, zaprezentowano aspekty logistyczne, które należy uwzględnić w kompleksowej ocenie dojrzałości organizacji.

The environment of modern organizations puts a big challenge in front of them. Companies wishing to compete with the best and striving to carry the business on a global level are not interested in one-off successes. The primary objective of the company is to achieve long-term business benefits by meeting requirements of customers and other stakeholders. Evaluation of the level of meeting the key criteria of organizational success, understood in the context of long-term benefits, can not be realized without the logistical aspects. In the paper, besides the classical models of logistics excellence and models of assessment of organizational maturity, logistical aspects that should be considered in a comprehensive assessment of the naturity of the organization are to be presented.

Artykuł ten jest w zamierzeniu poszerzeniem treści wykładów prowadzonych na analogiczny temat ze studentami kierunku bezpieczeństwo narodowe. Zawarto w nim prakseologiczną interpretację istoty sytuacji kryzysowej w relacji do sytuacji możliwości kompletnej, sytuacji przymusowej i sytuacji krytycznej. Kolejne rozważania skoncentrowano na analizie niezbędnych zasobów logistycznych w poszczególnych fazach zarządzania kryzysowego. W efekcie zaproponowano kilka niekonwencjonalnych sposobów magazynowania i dystrybucji tych zasobów.

This article’s aim is to broaden lectures given on the same topic to national security students. It it covers issue of praxeological interpretation of crisis situation in comparison to complete possibility, forced situation and critical situation. The deliberations include and are focused on analyses of logistic resources in respective phases of crisis management. As the result – some unconventional methods of storage and distribution of the resources has been suggested.

The logistics of cultural events is the key (next to the quality) aspect of the success of projects such as: Symphonic outdoor concert for the general public, a traveling exhibition of works of art, etc. Practice shows that employees of the artistic institutions rely mostly on their experience and intuition than knowledge of event management.
