The interaction of milk thistle seed with grooved working surfaces is revealed. The dependences of curvature of the ellipse of contact on the step between grooves and pressure distribution on the area of contact of normal force of compression are identified. The achieved dependences make it possible to justify optimal geometrical parameters of grooved working surfaces required for peeling milk thistle seed coat.

Anti-microbial finishing has been an area of constant interest for processors. In this paper, we carried out studies into the frictional behaviour of the chitosan-coated fabrics. With the increase in chitosan concentration, a decrease in frictional constant values is observed. Test parameters such as normal load and area of contact are bound to affect the frictional values. With an increase in normal load, a decrease in frictional values is observed; and with an increase in the area of contact, a decrease in frictional values is observed.

Znajomość rozkładu nacisków w strefie styku pozwala obliczyć zużycie w poszczególnych punktach tej strefy. W związku z tym w artykule przedstawiono oraz porównano różne sposoby wyznaczania pola naprężeń normalnych na powierzchni styku elementów poprzecznego łożyska ślizgowego.

In this paper some different methods of the calcution of the stresses distribution in the sliding bearing, are comparised. It is necessary to the wear level estimation.
