Real-time motion control is basically dependent on robot kinematics analysis where there is no unique solution of the inverse kinematics of serial manipulators. The predictive artificial neural network is a powerful one for finding appropriate results based on training data. Therefore, an artificial neural network is proposed to implement on Arduino microcontroller for a 4-DOF robot manipulator where the inverse kinematics problem was partitioned to suit the low specification of the board CPU. With MATALB toolbox, multiple neural network configuration based were trained and experienced for the best fit of the dimensionless feedforward data that is obtained from the forward kinematics of reachable workspace with average MSE of 6.5e-7. The results showed the superior of the proposed networks reducing the joints error by 90 % at least with comparing to traditional one. An Arduino on-board program was developed to control the robot independly based on pre validated parameters of the network. The experimental results approved the proposed method to implement the robot in real time with maximum error of (± 0.15 mm) in end effector position. The presented approach can be applied to achieve a suitable solution of n-DOF self-depend robot implementation using micro stepping actuators.

This paper presents an example of recorder of instantaneous frequency, which consists of PC computer with software designed in LabVIEW and a "frequency-to-code" converter with additional memory for data. The algorithm of the software of the “frequency-to-code” converter is discussed. The PC program that supports recording process of the measurement data by "frequency-to-code" converter is presented. Examples of recordings made using the presented equipment are presented.
The paper presents a review of ultrasonic sensors. Attention is focused on the possibility of using such sensors to keep an unmanned aerial vehicle at a constant altitude above the surface. Such a task requires filtered and unfiltered signals, so that the ground level can be distinguished even when obstacles are present. Three selected sensors were tested. The possibility of connecting these sensors to external devices was also studied. The potential of the individual sensors and of a set of sensors is discussed. The study showed that the best solution is to use a set of three ultrasonic sensors. Alternatively, a sensor with both unfiltered and filtered measurement was proved to be an adequate option.

An algorithm that enables efficient maze exploration is presented in the paper. The algorithm involves two phases: first the whole maze is explored in an ordered way and then, the shortest possible way out is determined. The algorithm has been derived in a way that combines main advantages of the two known labirynth-exploration algorithms: “Wall follower” and “Trémaux’s algorithm”. The algorithm has been tested using an autonomous vehicle, controlled by Arduino UNO, with two DC engines, ultrasonic sensors and gyroscope. It has been shown that the proposed approach provides a few crucial advantages with respect to already known solutions.
