Since many years ago the Institute of Information Technology in Management in the Faculty of Economic Sciences and Management of the University of Szczecin stores both the text and attachments of submitted B.Sc. and M.Sc. theses in an electronic form. In this paper an attemp has been made to point at the data storage technological solutions that will be capable, in the future, of limiting the costs of theses archivization, at the same time allowing fast access to their content. For this purpose the author's methodology for assessment of data storage economic efficiency is used, which also allows to show its usability in case of being applied at a non-commercial educational institution.
The format of patient documents created and stored in ERS system is presented. Its compatibility with DICOM standard is discussed, and the structure of a data base archiving such records are given.
