The article presents connections of Tuscan artists, architects and masterbuilders with Kraków. It is the city where they were coming in from the beginning of XVI c. and where they found suitable conditions for developing of their own artistic individualities. They could introduce the new idea of Renaissance there. To the group of the great personalities of this epoch belonged for example: Francesco from Florence, Bartolomeo Berecci, Giovanni Cini from Siena, Bernardo Zanobi and philip from Fiesole, who were employed on the king's court. Three of the last artists probable are designersof the beautiful Renaissance villa suburbana, erected according to the order of the king's secretary - the great humanist and historian Justus Decius. The Building is situated in Wola Justowska which nowadays is the suburb of Kraków. The results of the author's researches conducted between 1975-1978 where very interesting and gave opportunity for verification the former theory about the shape of the Renaissance residence. Stone architectural details coming from XVI c. which were found during the researches led the author to the theoretical reconstruction of the Renaissance facade of the residence. Also the relicts of the oldest part of the building were recognized as a mediaeval curia militares. Currently author is working on the stylistic analyze of the building disclosing architectural genealogy in Tuscan residences, which in his opinion, could have been the archetype interpreted in Polish area.
