W artykule omówiono najważniejsze wyniki z badań prowadzonych na nadprożach murowanych półkolistych. Wykazano wzrost nośności dla nadproży z warstwami muru ponad łukiem. Zaprezentowano otrzymane wyniki z symulacji numerycznych oraz badań doświadczalnych.

The article discusses the most important research results referring to brick laid lintels of semi-circular shape. Increased carrying capacity has been proven for lintels with bricklaid layers above the arch. Moreover, the obtained numerical simulation and experimental research results are also presented within the article content.

Two models of brick arched lintels and two arch models were put to the test of single concentrated force in the middle of the span and in the most sensitive spot. Value of the concentrated force, value of the horizontal force and the displacement were registered. The dependence of the construction strength (in comparison with the strength of the arched lintel to the strength of the arch) were compared to the placement of concentrated force. Analytical numerical research where carried out with help of limit tension stress criterion, then results where compared to the results of fundamental research.

Niniejszy artykuł zawiera aktualną wiedzę o budowie łukowych nadproży. Zostało udowodnione, że dobrze znana teoria różni się od faktycznych prac budowlanych i że sprawdza się tylko w sporadycznych przypadkach. Dokonano analizy danych typowych typów morfologicznych pęknięć i rys. Wydział Inżynierii lądowej i Architektury Zachodu pomorskiej Politechniki rozpoczął badanie nad opisanym zagadnieniem.

The following article contains the current knowledge about construction of arched lintels. It had been proved that well - known theory differs from actual construction work and it proves correct only in occasional cases. There was made statistic analysis of typical morphological types of cracks and scratches. Department of Civil Engineering and Architecture in The West Pomeranian University of Technology has started research on the described issue.
