Aerodynamics of a new pulsed fluidized bed. Initial tests for changed surface area of pressure chambers

The results of examination of aerodynamics in a newly constructed pulsed fluidized bed apparatus have been presented with a cyclically relocated gas stream. The apparatus is a subsequent modification of a unit with cyclically relocated gas stream. In the apparatus with the surface area of 0.072 m2, the construction of a gas supplying main with drying material was changed for the benefit of solutions applied in industry. Also the construction of the gas distributor with the possibility of withdrawing the whirling shield from the spur of the distributor gives the possibility of preliminary drying of the apparatus mains with the gas supply. Furthermore, the changes of the surface area and volume of particular pressure chambers in the apparatus are also possible. The impact of the process parameters (such as pulsation frequency, bed height, grain size, withdrawal of the whirling shield from the spur of the distributor) on the aerodynamics was tested with particular consideration of the sizes of particular parts of the sieve shelf.

Przedstawiono wyniki badań aerodynamiki aparatu pulsofluidyzacyjnego z cyklicznie przemieszczanym strumieniem gazu nowej konstrukcji. W aparacie tym zmieniono konstrukcję zasilania aparatu w czynnik suszący z możliwością wstępnego zasilania komór naporowych. Możliwa jest również zmiana powierzchni i objętości poszczególnych komór naporowych w aparacie. Badano wpływ parametrów procesowych (częstotliwość pulsacji, wysokość złoża, rozmiar ziarna, odsunięcie tarczy od gniazda rozdzielacza) na aerodynamikę ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem rozmiarów poszczególnych fragmentów półki sitowej.

A new type of apparatus of a pulsed fluid bed system with a relocated gas stream was constructed. This modification allows supplying of initial portion of gas into all pressure chambers at the same time. The influence of bed height, pulsation frequency and standoff of the rotational disk from the gas distributor upon basic aerodynamics values of this apparatus was tested. The results show that this system combines the features of a classic pulsed fluid bed system with a fluid system.

Przedstawiono wstępne badania nowego aparatu pulsofluidyzacyjnego z cyklicznie przemieszczanym strumieniem gazu. Aparat ten umożliwia wstępne zasilanie komór naporowych strumieniem gazu. Zbadano wpływ wysokości złoża, częstotliwości pulsacji i wielkości odsunięcia rozdzielacza gazu od gniazda rozdzielacza na podstawowe parametry procesowe. Badania pokazały, że taki system łączy cechy układu klasycznego i układu fluidalnego.
