Content available remote Analysis and Measurement of Deformation of Multipoint-Supported Crankshafts

The article presents the results of analyses which showed that the currently used methods for measuring the geometrical condition of execution and bearing mounting of large-size crankshafts do not guarantee complete and appropriate assessment of the shafts’ position in the main bearings due to the occurring elastic deformations caused by the support conditions of the measured object.Additionally, the results of the analyses enabled to determine the most advantageous support conditions, from the point of view of elimination of the shaft’s elastic deformation. A new concept of testing crank web deformation has been presented. The proposed symmetrical method eliminates a number of inconveniences of the existing testing methods and facilitates correct assessment of crankshaft deformation.

The paper describes a specific design of the sound insulating enclosure of a vibrating sorter. Recycling aspects have been taken into account when designing the enclosure, because recycled foam has been applied as a sound-absorbing material. An acoustic camera was used to measure, analyze, evaluate and to localise and identify sound sources. The visualization method was used to locate the critical locations of the device and then quantify them. To evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed enclosure, the measurements of the sound parameters were performed before and after the realization soundproofing measure. The measured results show the requested efficiency of the sound insulating enclosure in terms of noise reduction as well as dust near the sorter.

Artykuł przedstawia analizę działania falownika impulsowego w zastosowaniu do nagrzewania indukcyjnego. Prezentowany jest nowy układ sterowania falownikiem. Stworzono kompletny model symulacyjny układu sterowania wraz ze sterowanym obwodem energoelektronicznym falownika. Dokonano porównania wyników badań symulacyjnych układu falownika z rezultatami badań laboratoryjnych. Przedstawiono właściwości statyczne i dynamiczne klasycznego oraz proponowanego układu sterowania i przeprowadzono ich porównanie.

The paper is focused on an analysis of operating conditions for an impulse inverter used fora realization of induction thermal processes. A new system for controlling the impulse inverter is also presented. A complete simulation model of the inverter and the induction thermal system are demonstrated. To verification of the established model a comparative analysis with results of measurements in laboratory environments has been performed. Static and dynamic properties of the proposed inverter as well as a classic one are reported and results of their comparisons are presented.
